Guys, I'm going to be changing the FG Accuracy slider from 35 to 40 for next week. That appears to be what is causing some guys to miss XPs and easy FGs. I tested this with skip's kicker in practice mode and I was seeing the same thing he saw but the moment I changed the slider, I hit 10 straight.

For anyone that still has a game left and their kicker's accuracy is below 70, you're welcome to go double duty just for this week.

Yeah it was weird because I hit everyone of them the same, full power and straight. It isn't all that difficult with this kicking meter so I started to think it was me somehow lol

FYI... JeffHCross and I discovered that slider settings for ODs also effect UvU games this year. In the past you were always playing on default but this year that changed.

As a result, I'm going to strongly look at any kind of changes I want to make in order to make user games more enjoyable. The two UvUs I've played so far have been fairly ugly.

Let me know any thoughts or feedback.

I would say just straight Heisman difficulty I guess. I don't play this game enough to know the real differences between playing the CPU and User with it so my opinion may not mean much lol.

Other than kicking I can't really tell a big difference as to what is out of balance. Quite a few drops but that is expected with guys catch ratings in the 60's and 70's

Break tackles seemed to happen but again our ratings are not good and I big tackle to much :D

I think we can over time gather more thoughts though.

Great game JB, what a crazy OT win for MTSU!! This team is resilient after the loss to UTSA.

In my two user games I would say things felt fine. Nothing at least glaringly stuck out as off. Even FG kicking was ok. Even though in the game against Ryby I opted to go for it on 4th down late in the game instead of trying to tie the game because everyone was saying about the FG kicking. I did hit one from around 26 yards though earlier in the game and Ryby hit a 35 and 38 yarder.

I was hesitant to even try because the time before that I went for it on 4th with a dive play instead of kicking the 20 yard FG. Every kick I've attempted both FG's and XP's have been full power and straight.

FYI, Jake is out of town and should be back Thursday or Friday. We'll wait for him to get back before we advance. That will allow me to tweak & test the sliders.

A Big Win
Texas State uses a huge 2nd quarter to get past Akron, 28-12.

After a "feel out" 1st quarter from both teams, Texas State first got on board with a 38-yd TD pass to WR Isaiah Battle, 7-0. 4 minutes later QB Steven Rutherford took a run in from 21 yards out for the 12-0 lead. Both XP's were missed. 1:00 later Texas State scored again after Rutherford hit WR Andy Erickson the 41-yd pass, 18-0..missed XP again. Akron looked to get into the endzone before the half but Soph CB Craig Mager picked off a pass then returned it 66 yards for the TD, 25-0. XP would be made!!.

In the 2nd half Akron got hot scoring 2 TD's to cut into the lead, but Texas State closed it out with a FG in the 4th, 28-12.

Great game G. I was going to record it but didn't set up before the game.

I've made 2-3 40yd fg's with my current kicker but JB missed a 40yd fg last night (boy that helped )

Yeah. Short on a 40-yarder. :fp: where that could have given me the win.

Lobos Win! Lobos Win!

New Mexico rallies from 14 down in the first half to knock off rival Arizona 27-21. The Lobos scored on a 2 yard dive with :03 left in the game to pull ahead. It's the first victory of the season for the perennial losing squad and hopefully sends them in to conference play with some much needed momentum.

After getting absolutely whipped their first two games of the season against Nevada and Arkansas the Lobos went back to the basics. The story of the first two games were double digit drops each contest by New Mexico WR's. So this week Coach Dayz decided to play ball control and rely on his two bruising running backs. On the day. New Mexico ended up rushing 62 times for 259 yards and all 4 TD's. There weren't a lot of big or pretty plays but it was enough to keep the high flying Arizona off the field and allowed New Mexico to stay in the game.

UAB knocks off the heavily favored Miami Hurricanes by the score of 24-7. It was an outstanding performance by the Blazer's defense as the Cane's only score came after a fumble set them up with a short field. UAB was able to get their running game going despite losing starting HB Greg Franklin for 2 weeks.
