I see Western Michigan’s getting out on the recruiting trail pretty fast. Already with one commitment a two star player not bad. San Jose Just had a stat buffer of a game 70-3. Now that’s how you rebound from a loss. Colin408 good luck against Texas Tech seems like it might be the same type of game as your last time out. Then again maybe you and your Texas State boys can pull of the upset. Coach Kernzy I see your Aggies had a great offensive showing, but giving up 445 yards of offense to an FCS opponent might be time for concern with the Utes coming up. I’ll be taking the Owl’s to Murfreesboro TN to do battle with MTSU. I plan on kicking off about 12 midnight (eastern). CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!

Thanks BossMo, I learned alot about the team in game 1 and think i might be able to pull off an upset against Texas Tech, its gonna be a tough game but I think i got a winning gameplan. Goodluck in your game against MTSU,your next games are going to be tough. I was going to play my game tonight but someone wanted to watch TV so I probobly wont be playing my game until Friday Morning.

Well you called it BOSSMO X, the Utes put it on my D pretty good. I got within 10 at half but the 2nd half the Utes when on some long drives that I just couldn't stop. My offense was pretty poor as well converting 1 3rd down all game I think and I had a few chances to score and either couldn't finish or turned it over.
Things only get worse for me next week as well as I go up against the vaunted running attack of the Badgers at Camp Randle Stadium. I fully expect to get my doors blown off and get run on for about 300 or more. But then into conference play where I think I can probably get some work done and win some games.

Good luck to everyone in your games this week.

So much for MTSU being the calm before the storm they were a monsoon in the second half. MTSU sacked my starting QB 5 times and he was knocked out of the game for the second week in a row. The Blue Raider defense held the Owls to 2 yds rushing on 19 carries. Before Melvin German was knocked out of the game he did have 220 yds passing and 2 tds. Now we got to figure out how to protect him so he can actually finish a game lol.

Tough loss BOSS but I imagine all of us will be doing a lot of that in our non-conf games.
Regarding your sacks and keeping your QB healthy. With the poor OLs we have be sure to keep backs and TEs in to help block if you can and also be sure to try and shift your OL to help as well. Another thing I do a lot is use pass plays that run all short routes like slants, crossing routes and things like that so my QB gets the ball out quick and isn't sitting in the pocket trying to go deep. And beyond all that it comes down to the QBs themselves, it seems that some of them just hold on to the ball longer than others. I've even switched QBs before to a lower rated guy just because he seems to play better and get the ball out quicker.

I see Colin just finished his game and looks like he lost a real heartbreaker, man. Great effort against a much better team Colin.

Since everyone is done I'll advance to week 3 as soon as I get home tonight around 5:30 Central.

Colin has played some better opponents pretty close considering where his team ranks. He might be on to something. Texas State just might light it up in conference play!
