Hey its coach Colin Barton here, first off all I am very proud to be given the headcoach job at Texas State. It means alot to be given a new oppurtunity at the FBS level. Its going to come with alot of rough and tough times though, we are a brand new team just coming from the FCS so we have alot to prove, right now were a very under-rated and disrespected team, which is kind of expected coming from FCS. can tell you this right now though, were a team thats going to surprise some folks, We have a no bullshit attitude and are here to make a statement and to show we deserve our spot in the FBS, with that being said let the swag speak for itself.

Offense: We actaully have a very nice set of players at Quarterback and Halfback,QB Shaun Rutherford will be heavily relied on to control the game and minimize mistakes. At Running back we have sophomore speedster Terrance Franks carrying the load, Franks is an explosive back with the ability to break tackles, which he will need to as we are almost non-existant at fullback. At reciever we have 3 young Junior WR's starting for us, Although we dont have the speed that I would like we do have the ability to catch in traffic and throw some blocks on the outside. As far as the offensive line goes, we need to improve ALOT at tackle and center, this will probobly be a problem all season as Rutherford will have to use his feet to avoid sacks.

Defense: The defense will be lead by Junior Free safety Xavier Daniels, Xavier has some serious skills and is probobly one of the better safetys in the conference, be sure to see him do work for the D, Also manning the secondary is cornerback Darryl Morris, Morris has blazing fast speed and should be able to keep up with most of the divisions top WR's, The secondary looks great right now and should be able to shutdown opposing QB's. The other star on the defense is junior defensive end Thomas Evans, Evans has good awareness and has the physical ability to get by any linemen in the NCAA.

Colin that's good stuff man good stuff. I coached high school football back in 2010 and we showed our kids that same clip from any given Sunday. That gets me fired up every time I see it. My FAU team looks like it might be ok in the Sun Belt.In the first gm my FR #1 WR had 7 catches for 247 yds and 5 TDs,we won 49-10. Troubles on the horizon though we play 6th ranked Georgia and top ranked Alabama back to back in a couple of weeks.

Thanks man, theres probobly a few grammar and spelling mistakes in it but I dont feel like going through it all :P . Wow thats some amazing production for a freshman! Its a shame that EA's servers had to drop the hammer on your game, and yeah I listened to that clip before every game last year for my 4th year of highschool ball, Im going back for 1 semester to play a 5th season... Its gonna be really hard hanging that same jersey up for the last time. Theres nothing like playing under the lights on a Friday night in front of your whole school. At first I didnt think i was going to comeback to play another but I know it will be well worth it.
