Marcus should benefit nicely from a Redshirt year. I know he wants to come in and play early, but we are going to continue to outline our direction as a staff to show Marcus that bigger and better things as well as tons of playing time are to come with his patience.

Had a minor recruiting glitch last night-- I had 40 minutes left, but whenever I tried to use it, it said that I had already used my allotted time for that player (no matter which player I tried to use it on).

In other recruiting news, Cal filled a hole by securing the commitment of 1-star fullback Jordan Kennedy. The Bears are confident that opposing defensive coordinators will stay up late to come up with game plans to neutralize this top-2500 recruit...

Woods' commitment will help establish depth for the Cyclones. Listed as the #152 DE at 62 OVR, Woods boats 88 Acceleration and 71 Block Shedding.

The Cyclones have soft commitments from five players and are leading on nine other players, so they are hoping for a wave of commitments as the season wraps up.

Nixon is 6'4 320 and from Independence, IA. He comes in at 64 OVR with 77 STR, 82 ACC, and 76 RBK ratings.

Big recruiting haul for :Cal:. The centerpiece of their recruiting class is :4star: defensive tackle Rich Christensen from nearby Mountain View, California. Christensen was ranked as the #36 overall player in the country at the start of the season, and #5 DT. He is rated as 78 overall.

Other recent highlights include 4-star ATH Brad Davis, who projects as an OLB, 4-star guard Marcus Ellis, 3-star MLB Wali McDuffie, 3-star TE Brian Thomas, and 3-star CB David White.

Baylor pulls in two top notch recruits. The #1 DT in the country and the #2 WR. The best part is the WR was soft committed for 3 weeks to Clemson, and I was able to steal him.

I haven't worked as hard one recruit as I did this guy...only to end up in a virtual tie for the lead - and to see him go to Maryland:

Looking at their roster, he should be the starter for day one (would have redshirted and most likely sat a year at UCLA) so it is tempting to schedule the Terps and try to exact some form of revenge.


The top classes this year is dominated by user squads and appears JB (Baylor) will finish with the top class.

:UCLA: edges out :USC: and :LSU: for his services.

The Bruins only have two hard verbal commits so far this season, but both are :4star: players.
