Send a WR up field

Does anyone know how to send a WR up field? What I mean is: In old Madden/NCAA If my QB was under pressure and flushed out the pocket and I had a WR standing the flats. I could hit up on the analog stick and direct him to go up field. Can we still not do that anymore?

I'm fairly confident that this is no longer in the game at its present state. The right analog stick is now used for the pump fake outside the pocket and the QB avoidance move while in the pocket playing QB. EA likes to add things into the game and then remove them.

Boy that is frustrating when rolling out and I have a WR just sitting in the flats not going anywhere.

You could try putting your WR get out pre-snap adjustment on aggressive.

^^^^ That. It will affect all your players, not just a single WR in the flats, but that's the only mechanic to do what you describe.

Yeah, setting it to aggressive in the adjustments pre-snap will cause WR's to go deep after their route is finished rather than just standing their mindlessly.
