Draft opens now, however the deadline for the first pick is not until Wednesday night at 7pm CT. Based on team selections, I'll re-arrange the SBC and WAC (maybe CUSA) to fit these teams into two 9 team conferences.

For those without the game, you can go to http://teambuilder.easports.com and create a team, then choose one of the rosters of these teams as your base. It may not answer all of your questions but can at least give you an idea.

FAU wouldn't be horrible for the aspect of recruiting... definitely should have a solid pipeline into Florida. I imagine someone else is considering them for that... that plus I imagine Idaho or Akron are other teams that might fall to you.

Yeah I actually don't think either choice would be bad between those two.

Hopefully Idaho doesn't fall that far because I just did an OD with them. Although that would make my decision easier I guess.

I was wondering if people would take the three new teams early since it would be the first time anyone has gotten to use them. FAU for the Florida factor definitely makes me think they will go before the 11 spot.

He's going to be a stud since he's only a SO.

UTSA sold me on their young Oline. 4 Sophmores in the high 60s low 70s :)

Then I seen that 4 of their 6 OLB's are Seniors and that would just wreck my 3-4 scheme with all Freshman having to play

They're solid just about everywhere except QB... he'll definitely be my handicap the first season. That combined with the fact that they're very young... lots of Juniors and Sophomores that start.

I would double check whatever named roster that we use because he is actually not on the team anymore if we use one where they actually make personnel changes like luvtotha9's does. Someone would need to add him back if that was the case so you don't get surprised.

He instead went to Arkansas as a WR. Last year though, he couldn't throw a ball out of his shadow... they didn't throw a pass more than 10 yards downfield more than a couple of times.

Well that makes a little more sense as a WR. I couldn't figure out why he would transfer from a school where he was the backup to a school with 4 scholarship QB's on the roster. Didn't make much sense. He really should have gone to UCA if he was smart.

I'm glad I could crush someone's dreams! Whenever I first looked at their roster, I saw the QB and didn't give them much a second look. But last night tex & I were going with new teams we hadn't really looked at so I went with them. After I saw their roster in-game, I was sold. Added that they have pipelines to both Ohio & Pennsylvania, I should be able to pick up some good recruits as well.

It definitely still is quite a bit of "talented" teams left for sure.

Figured I'd take a chance with Texas State. Their two RB's are solid, but their Secondary IMO is pretty good. Junior FS, then both CB's are solid.

QB isn't bad on Offense, and the 3-4 WR's will work in my scheme...should anyway. Won't have the game until Thursday so I'll check them out then

Texas State's secondary is very nice. I run the 4-2-5 with them in a dynasty I started messing around. The first year I only played the game against UTSA, and their FS is a beast. He flies all over the field. The two corners are nice in coverage too.

Since UTSA doesn't have any big boys on their original schedule. I'll take Texas and Baylor or Texas Tech or Texas A&M.

Would also like a Home and Home with Snoop and would be open for any other takers.

The only problem with that conference layout is that it will ensure that everyone has 5 UvU games. While I'm one that I love lots of UvU games, I know that doesn't work as well with everyone's schedule. We could go with 3 conferences which would give everyone 3 set UvUs.

I would vote we try it like that but keep the option for some conference realignment if we need to. I would say that, at least at first, 5 UvU wouldn't be too much for me.

I'm currently in the middle of an epic game with my rival Arizona. Tied 17-17 halfway through the 4th. Hopefully I don't use up my one shot at beating them here and then get thrashed when we actually start.

If we went 3 conferences, I'd be willing to set it to a zero AQ requirement instead of two... that would allow you to have up to 7 UvU games.

I agree. I just do not get much enjoyment at all out of playing the computer anymore. I wish I did because it would be nice to run my own offline dynasty. :(

I just know that a lot of people (myself possibly included this fall) wouldn't have time to play a lot of UvU games while also keeping the OD moving at a reasonable pace.

Yeah I think I'm for that approach. Gives everyone flexibility. I know with the wedding coming up in Dec I could use the option to play more or less.

I'm the same way. I usedto run 25-30 season offline dynasties before they made the ability to play OD's. Since then I don't think my longest offline dynasty has gone longer than 3 seasons.

I'm in 4 Madden LD leagues at another site/community that I'm in which if real life obligations don't take all of my time, then those usually do. So the 3 conferences work for me.

I am back from vacation. Game was on the table from Amazon, played a little before bed. Major suckage is my name at this. Anyway I would love a practice game before we start if possible. Played a half a game with G. Love my kick returner. In my 2 games with them he's ran back 2 KR's

I like Texas State. Still undecided of what Offense I'll run. It will be a stock book as I don't feel like going through a custom book really.

My Defensive playbook is already set though I may add another formation in it and remove a few.
