Amazon needs to lead. Not follow.I think they figured out that enough people shop there now (and only shop there) that they don't need to compete any more. Just price-matching is enough. I think that's why last year's Black Friday deals were basically a carbon copy of the Big Box stores.

The only reason I bought the games I did was because I've always wanted to get those achievements out of the way and I had some store credit, so I didn't pay anything out of pocket. Once I'm done, I'll be able to trade them back in for probably more than I spent on them.

All told, today wasn't too bad. Oblivion for $9.99, Fallout 3 GOTY for $9.99, if you hadn't gotten it yet, Dead Island for $14.99 for both systems. If Sleeping Dogs had been $24.99 or $29.99, that would have probably been a good deal, but for $34.99, eh, I'll wait. It will inevitably be cheaper in the next 2-4 weeks with the holiday knockdowns in price. Same with Skyrim. It's a great game, but only $34.99 after a full year, if by now you still haven't bought it yet, wait for the price to go lower.

I may pick it up later on, but $60 on TW14, which I might only play every so often when other games don't sound great at that moment, not really in the budget. It can't be any worse than any of the other multitude of shooters I've played. Everyone said Jericho was terrible and I actually got quite a bit of enjoyment out of it. If the collector's edition drops to $30, possibly even $40, I'd be more than willing to take the plunge.

I'd imagine that regular version would be under $20 long before GF puts it on sale. From what I've read, it didn't sell very well and it's already been at $40 multiple times. It's only a matter of time before a new copy is under $20.

Meh honestly I really like my Elgato as its just a much smaller design and thus doesn't take up much room on my desk.

I wouldn't purchase any recording devices at this point unless you plan to ride out this gen for awhile longer. My bet is that they completely rip out the Component connection on both next gen consoles and if they do like Sony did with the PS3, HDMI will continue to use DRM to block itself. That said, I'm hopeful that if they do rip out Component that they at least unblock the HDMI connection when you're playing games. We'll see...

Since they apparently patched the audio issues, probably. If you plan on getting the platinum, you might want to hold back. You have to beat the game on Hard, and it's extremely hard, much harder than the previous games.

Still, though, great game play and epic boss fights. The story isn't as good as the other ones, but it's still on par with most games. I'd give it an 8.5/10. Sony's first party titles really don't go on sale all that often, so if the game type interests you, I say go for it.
