Oh, here we go. I got one. 2 points to be addressed. (1) The white on red uni/red on white uni stripe, on the shoulder is absolutely a stripe. In the game it encircles the arm. Only full encircling is the gray elastic. *A good comparison is the stripe of Oklahoma's white jersey* (2) Dark gray stripe on the light gray pants. In the game it is backwards.

Ten of the top college football programs have been selected to wear uniquely designed Nike uniforms for at least one game during the 2010 season the company announced. (http://www.broncosports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=48553&SPID=4061&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=9900&ATCLID=204981906)

The University of Alabama, Boise State University, University of Florida, University of Miami (FL), The Ohio State University, Oregon State University, University of Pittsburgh, Texas Christian University, Virginia Tech and West Virginia University will wear the innovative designs for a minimum of one game on their schedules. The dates of those games will be announced at the unveiling of the uniforms Sept. 1 in New York.

The Nike Pro Combat System of Dress uniforms the schools will wear are engineered to provide superior protection and durability, while utilizing advanced fabrics and tooling that reduce weight.

Nike worked diligently with each university to bring relevant elements of the school's rich heritage into the futuristic elite fit uniform designs. The collaborations with the universities produced the highly customized uniforms that will be revealed on the afternoon of September 1st.

Pretty cool stuff. Interested to see what WVU's is. Nike did the Black and Blue uniforms for the basketball team that were hella tight so hopefully they do something similar for the football team.

The Boise official site has a banner up to buy items from the Pro Combat line, but the store is empty. However, the banner gives a look at the logo change for their Pro Combats. Gray outline (instead of orange) and orange eyes:

Early details on the 2010 Pro Combat uniforms:

• Miami: Tonal Fir palm-frond print emblematic of South Florida incorporated into the jersey numbers, pant and footwear.

• Alabama: Houndstooth check pattern incorporated into the uniform in tribute to legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.

• Boise State (http://twitpic.com/2k4ze2): Reflective, Game Royal Bronco head on the uniform echoes the famed blue turf of Bronco stadium.

• Florida: Alligator-skin motif used in the jersey numbers, pant, gloves and footwear inspired by menacing Gator mascot.

• Ohio State: Stylized script numbers, a replica U.S. flag on the jersey sleeve and the camouflage-print base layer honor the WWII-bound Buckeyes, National Champions of 1942. (Red helmets)

• Oregon State: Retro design revives a look worn by the victorious 1967 "Giant Killers."

• Pittsburgh: Notched Team Gold jersey numbers and stencil stripe on the helmet evoke steel I-beams in reference to Pittsburgh's steel industry.

• TCU: Icy lizard-skin pattern used throughout the uniform inspired by the scaly body armor of TCU's horned frog mascot and a memorable quote from celebrated coach Leo "Dutch" Meyer.

• Virginia Tech (http://twitpic.com/2jh9t9): All-black uniform references the cadet gray-and-black regalia worn by Virginia Tech's original football team and honors the school's current Corps of Cadets.

• West Virginia: A headlamp-like line running front-to-back on the helmet and smudged Black pattern on the uniform pay respect to the region's coal mining industry.

The participating schools all rank in the preseason top 25. The teams plan to wear the uniquely designed uniforms for the games listed below and any other games they may determine at a later date: the University of Alabama (Nov. 13), Boise State University (Sept. 6), University of Florida (Oct. 30), University of Miami (Nov. 20), The Ohio State University (Nov. 27), Oregon State University (Dec. 4), University of Pittsburgh (Nov. 26), TCU (Sept. 4), Virginia Tech (Sept. 6) and West Virginia University (Nov. 26).

Side note: Apparently NCAA 11 created a bunch of controversy because they have red pants for Cincinnati on the Teambuilder site, whereas the team does not have red pants as an option to wear.

I was thinking of this very thing. "Create a Uni". Also the ability to implement this on any team at any time, making it possible for us to implement jerseys as they are released during the year. Just like TB, include as an EA Locker feature. If you must ea, make a uni take a TB slot and let us share that way. Thank you

Alabama's uniforms need to be fixed. They're actually maroon in the game and they should be crimson as in this picture. Also the face masks need to be gray. They're white in the game.

“The new uniforms have a frog skin print on the numbers and an interesting collar (though you can’t tell from those pics),” says Jeff Gdula. “The helmets have also been changed: The frog is gone, leaving only the arched ‘TCU’ on the side, with a black stripe down the middle. Also, the helmets have frog skin. The number font will be exclusive to TCU as well...The new set of uniforms and helmet simply provide us with another option on what to wear each game. TCU's is a good move, especially the helmet change. While I loved the frog, it'll help with branding to get the TCU even larger. Though last year's Rose Bowl wouldn't have been the same without the rose in his mouth.

Not great. The nike pro combats last season were released about this time and didnt make the game. However the difference is that these are now the official unis, as opposed to one gamers. So hopefully they make the deadline!!!

For anyone that doesn't know, that's one of the special helmets that Air Force wore this past season. They're inspired by the USAF Thunderbirds (Air Force's stunt team). Specifically by the helmets worn by the pilots.

I am a huge ASU fan (insert jokes here...) but I just hate these unis and the advertising campaign that goes along with them. Honestly, part of why I liked ASU as a kid were because of their uniforms. I always found them unique. Sparky to me is fundamental to ASU football.

i've heard that some junior colleges in that area have higher academic requirements for their athletes, than what asu does. so maybe they do need that much help. :D

I've also heard that ASU unknowingly is competing with one of the local Arizona gangs with a very, very similar symbol. Stay classy ASU :(

The difference is that there is not Blue around the neck and sleeve for the white jersey's and there is not white around the Blue Jersey's.

Penn State instead of going forward with new Jersey's stick to their roots and go back in time to the older jersey's.

That's just ridiculous. It's a pitchfork. There's prolly 1000 gangs in the US with a very, very similar symbol. It's part of the University Team Branding. Just because a bunch of idiot teenage kids have the same symbol (likely because they're close to ASU) doesn't mean the University shouldn't be able to incorporate it. The kids use the pitchfork sign, which I'm guessing a million gangs use, does that mean these kids at the University are gangster affiliated and un-classy individuals? Certainly not.

I like the look myself, except for the huge ASU on the shoulders. If it were small and in a more sleek font, it would be cool. IMO ASU has always had one of the worst unis in college football. Either way the whites have always looked better than the reds, and it looks like that's still the case by far.

Not sure if this has been mentioned as I don't remember it. Cal is going for an All White look in an away game this season. If they are designated away team vs Fresno in neutral site, then that's the game.

Yep plenty of gangs use the pitchfork. Also plenty of gangs usually wear sports swag, often times seeing bloods with Reds caps and so on also with the crips wearing LA Dodger gear and stuff for the blue.

the thing I read said the players were pushing for it. Black sox is horrible for that old school look anyway.
the schol doesnt need to change because a recent recruit wants something. A school like USC shouldnt be giving in to trendy looks anyway

They need to adjust the default sock height. Nobody in college football wears low socks.
