Every year it seems like there are questions from people asking "is X play in the game?" and invariably, it's often not. So with that in mind, what are some of your favorite plays that exist in the real college football world but aren't found in the game? For this point in time, we'll have to go off of information from NCAA12 since NCAA13 hasn't been released.

Perhaps we can then use this information to forward it to the developers and see about getting it into the game. Post as much information as possible to describe/show how the play is ran... videos are always helpful.

Starting with the one that inspired this thread from EDJ in the Custom Playbooks thread.

To add my own contribution, my favorite play from last gen was the Ace - Twin TE Slot - Triple Option. It was an auto-motion from the slot WR to motion behind the HB. The QB would run the dive read with the HB and the WR would become the pitch man.

It's similar to the Wingbone - Triple Option except in the Wingbone, it's a B-back being the motion man.

Inverted Veer will be at the top of about everybody's list

i would also like to see the Hand Sweep of Malzahn put in the game: http://offensivebreakdown.blogspot.com/2011/01/auburn-run-game-buck-sweep.html

i know we have "buck" in the game, but the fake reverse and stuff that goes with it that is trademark of Malzahn, Morris and that whole group

Just real quick off the top of my head, just from NEB's playbook:
-Belly G Series
-Veer & Inverted Veer

Yesterday I attended Nebraska's "Football 202" event which included a film session with both offensive & defensive staffs. The thing that struck me the most about the offensive side of the ball is how few run plays they actually use. Against Ohio St they ran 3/4 plays, THAT'S IT! They simply ran it from different formations & looks. They ran: Power, Toss, Belly G, & Inverted Veer. The key is that it doesn't always look the same. Some examples:
-On 2 back to back plays they ran power from 23 personnel in a goalline set & then from 21 personnel in a wildcat jet sweep set.
-They ran the belly G from I-Twins, I-Trips(unbalanced), Ace-Slot.... Same with Toss.
-Inverted Veer, they ran from 3x1 & 2x2 shotgun sets as well as from the pistol-"Cross" or "Backs" set (Martinez's TD after Lavonte's strip).

Inverted Veer.
Old-school plays from Split Backs formations ... those two formations are just so bare now that they're not worth having in your playbook. Even what I consider "basic" Split Backs plays are gone.
In the Run & Shoot playbooks, one of the formations (I believe the 3 x 1) is all Run & Shoot plays, while the other is all Air Raid plays. That needs to be balanced.
A lot of my favorite 3-4 defense plays from NCAA 11 were removed in NCAA 12. Unfortunately I don't remember the names very well ...

i dont know what i was looking at specifically, but that Army-Navy game had some split back stuff when Army was on Offense, figuring it is their broken bone with a slot, so that may increase some looks you can throw into a custom playbook that will be out of split backs... HOPEFULLY at the very least some triple option... would love a good solid double dive... but who knows until AT LEAST July 7th

Yeah that "Quadruple" Option that's really just a triple would've been epic.

I don't have any other plays in mind at the moment. But I really wish EA could get to a point of providing old playbooks, and even providing generic plays that aren't in a team playbook to be adapted for each formation so that we can truly make a unique playbook for ourselves.

e.g. We have the Jet Sweep in a few Shotgun formations, a couple Pro/Weak sets, and some Ace as well. But there's no reason other than storage space that they can't adapt a Jet Sweep for each Ace/I-Form/Shotgun/etc formation just for the heck of it.

Some of this is a repeat from other threads on this site, (Thread: Shotgun Inverted Veer (http://www.thegamingtailgate.com/forums/showthread.php?3808-Shotgun-Inverted-Veer)) but I'd like to see more option plays out of the spread.

"...they didn’t really run it as the true “veer,” where you read the defensive end (five technique). Instead they ran the “midline” — they read the defensive tackle. A couple diagrams will (hopefully) better illustrate this."

I'll add in another vote for the inverted veer. A lot of teams run this and it's almost as prolific as the read option. This really needs to be in the game (I'm guessing it's not because the mesh point is usually longer than with a read option and that's harder to code).
