:D Holy freaking cow, what a dumbass! I swear to goodness just when you think ole ram can't get any dumber, he tops himself. There's a huge difference in being aware of their actions and being a fan of the team. Being a fan means sticking with the team through the good times and the bad, not just when they are winning. There's been a lot of lean years in LA but you wouldn't know that unless you caught it on the news.

And what does living closer got to do with anything? I have lived in South Carolina my entire life and I guarantee i've watched more Kings games than you have ever thought about watching. Try as you may sonny boy, you are not going to rain on my victory parade.

no one one gives damn how long you can prove to be fan of anything whether they win or lose. It means nothing. Sports is entertainment not a badge of honor.

and LOL at smooth congratualating you for basically doing nothing but turning on your tv and watching the games. You dont have a thing to do with the Kings or any team winning anything.

Live and learn guys, pay attention... a band wagon jumper is someone who actually feels the need to make you think they are a fan of something because they need the approval from it or those particular fans.
I am a sports fan who likes watching sports and every year someone gets the ultimate prize. I am fascinated by that because I am a sports fan and i watch those games and occasionally will pick a team to favorite. Now , I may not be a hardcore Kings fan but so the fuck what LOL. I am a sports fan and my local team won and damn right I am going to be part of that civic pride !!!!!!!

now go ahead and pat yourself on the back because you spent 2 hours every other night watching a team on tv lose games until this happened- newsflash- nobody gives a flying horses fajita !!!!

Sports is entertainment. I can root for who ever I want, when ever I want, for what ever reason I want. I'll worry about loyalties and losing in real life importants situation where it actually matters.

All the sports leagues are business's with franchises, not little armys that travel State to State to do battle. The leagues dont give a damn who you root for as long as you buy tickets,consessions and merchandise to keep the league profiting. The league doesnt exist because loyal Chuck has been watching his favorite team on tv like clock work every year even though they cant crack 3rd place in their division/conference for the last 20 seasons.

Natureboy says he is a laker fan too, so what ? LOL

You see, its actually from my being a fan of the lakers since about 77' that taught me how pointless it is to say youre some loyal fan of anything.

I watched and followed the Lakers religiously from the time they got Magic through all the titles with Shaq and realized that the lakers never freaking lose LOL. They keep reloading and getting to the finals or a step away from the finals all the freaking time. It takes no effort to root for them because they will find the formula and do it again. So I am actually rooting for other teams to have their day in the sun to make it fresh, make it exciting, make it different. Give some variety to the sport/s !

you see, you guys think I'm just rooting for winning teams when in actuallity I'm rooting for the losing teams to get better. Because thats what makes sports fun.

I dont lie and say I'm a long time fan of some team,its not important whether I am or not. So no, I aint no bandwagon jumper. I am someone who appreciates sports and its final outcomes.
The manly, reality tv physicallity that takes place on your tv. I do have primary favorite teams but I am happy for all men who get to succeed in this realm.
I've said it before..until they make sports something like jury duty,loyalties to teams dont really matter LOL

Most normal men I know are very passionate about their favorite sports teams. thanks to the Lakers, the Kings probably got a good blueprint how to do this LOL

but they did a way better job...it even seemed better and more entertaining then when the Lakers put the floor on/in the Coliseum.
What they did inside the Staples Center was about as good as you can do it too !

Sure, 2002 was fun to watch and the gameday parties were great, but I wouldn't have sat there claiming to be an Ohio State fan to celebrate their title when I'm a Navy fan, nor would I have been going insane like the Ohio State fans were. It was a great night when they won, but nothing close to what it would be like for me if Navy were to win the title.

And yes, I remember John Cooper, but you guys just sucked in bowl games with him. You still usually won 7-9+ games a year. 7-9 wins might not be considered successful in the eyes of Ohio State fans, but it's still successful nonetheless.

Well, I was going off of memory, and I knew Ohio State was winning a lot, just wasn't sure how great. And yeah, losing to Michigan a lot is a big deal for Ohio State, but in the overall picture, Ohio State has still been successful since pretty much forever based on overall record.
