Newbie with rosters.... [Archive]

Hey,

So I will be getting the game for the first time in a few weeks. I can't wait to play, it has been several years since I have played and I am looking forward to seeing what has changed. I know that there are several roster sets available for download and I was curious if one stands out above the rest. I play with Tennessee on Heisman level (well I did back in 2006) so I def want one of the rosters with edits due to player attrition and development. Right now I am choosing between purple power nc and gatorbait's rosters. I don't know anything about either, but in reading the threads it looks like a lot of work went into them...and others as well. So my question is, is there a way to go wrong here? or will i be pretty fine no matter how I choose?

If you just want the players that EA created to be named, PSN gamingtailgate has them for you that were created by member BigWY. If you want edited rosters, PSN GatorNuts0208 were created by GatorBait06NC & buckeye02 though not sure how often they are updated.

I know luvtotha9s has put out good rosters in the past that are updated, however as I understand it now, you have to pay a sort of subscription fee to get the PSN name for where to download them from.

thanks, yeah I am looking for edited rosters. I was under the impression that some updates were done after the season to more accurately represent how well freshman had developed. I saw luv2the9s charges for his, but I thought that I had also seen where somebody did it for free.

I remember back in the day, getting the game, and getting a roster list and typing the names in one by one. I usually only made it through the 2 deep of skilled players....so glad that I don't have to do that anymore. honestly, even without edits it will be better than my last go round!
