Arkansas State made a much better showing in their matchup against #23 Texas knocking them off 45-31. QB Jason Watson continued his solid season completing 19/31 for 336 yards with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. HB Quan Bray put in another great performance racking up 151 yards on 16 carries with 2 touchdowns. WR Casey Brewer also continued to perform catching 8 passes for 134 yards and a score.

The two teams were neck and neck throughout the first half. However when the Red Wolves took over deep in their own territory at the 4 yard line, HB Bray broke things open with a 96 yard run. On a toss play, Bray found himself one-on-one against a linebacker on the outside. Stopping dead in his tracks, he managed to force the linebacker to commit to the outside, then he cut inside and continued untouched for the score. That play seemed to stop any momentum by the Longhorns as they remained scoreless in the second half until under a minute left in the game.

Unfortunately though, Bray suffered an injury late in the game causing him to have to sit out for the next four weeks and miss games against Houston and San Jose State.

With the win, #21 Arkansas State improves to 3-0 on the season and take a breather next week before jumping into conference play against Houston in Week 5.

JB whats your schedule look like for today?

Bout ready to head out for the city dart championships, I am not sure when I'll be home, could be later this afternoon, or not til tonight. I'm supposed to do golf league at 9, that will get done around 10 central. Hopefully we can get it in tonight sometime because I'm gone all this week. If not, I'll put it on auto pilot.

We aren't gonna make the final four, but I gotta go get my tire fixed. If you are around say 730 central, I should be good, hopefully.

The Georgia boys on the team decided to show out this week in a big game in their home state against #7 GA Tech.

FIU pulls off the upset 16-14 in front of a sold out crowd.

QB Cornelius Jackson(SO) - Perry, GA - 9/18 179 yards 1 TD 0 INT
HB Willie Gutierrez(SO) - LaGrange, GA - 34 carries 215 yards 0 TD's
RE Victor Todd(FR) - Gaines School, GA - 2 TFL
OLB Josh Mullins(FR) - Cairo, GA - 7 tackles 1 INT

We lost our 1-2 punch combo RB Shane Coleman for 11 weeks (Broken collarbone on a facemask play) on the day however, he was our speed back and he will be missed. Redshirt might be coming off one of my FR HB's. :(

Hey guys... just an update. I'm going to invite ryby to join the OD, however for this season, he's going to pick any sub-80OVR team (regardless of conference), and recruit & play with that team. If he has a UvU game, he'll put himself on auto-pilot so that the other user can play against the CPU. In essence he'll be joining for Season 6 but this way he can participate now and also have a full season to recruit instead of being handcuffed by the CPU's recruits.

Then, for Season 6 we'll figure out how we want to handle the conference alignments, etc.

Works for me. And if you want to wait up...I can maybe get my week 4 game done Saturday afternoon when I get back or Sunday afternoon first thing when I wake up.
