The madness continues on Rocky Top.
The #17 Voluteers hosted the 3-3 Arkansas Razorbacks. After knocking off Georgia and with South Carolina on the horizon, UT again came out and asked to be spanked. Them Hogs went off int he first quarter, hanging 24 on us. It was 24-3 at the end of one, and the beating was so thorough, that as time was winding down in the first, I went into a hurry up mode because I thought it was the end of the second. Seriously, my defense is better than getting 24 dropped by Arkansas.
After the break, we started to chip away at the lead. Raijon Neal once again carried us. He is earning his money this year, by busting through these holes and evading some ill mannered tacklers. His success is the reason the passing game is flourishing. Although, we had 4 recorded drops today and many more misses because of alligator arms. Those Hog DBs jarred a few fillings today. I posted one pic of my TE dropping a tying TD on the goalline as he got jacked up. At that time in the second quarter, we were just scratching back, and I figured it would be the difference in the game.
Tennessee's defense overcame the communication issues in the first quarter and held Arkansas to 3 points the rest of the game. They forced turnovers, made huge stops, and won the game for us. One of the Arkansas scores was on a blocked punt returned for a TD, so our D only game up 2 TDs and 2 FGs in this game. We overtook the lead in the third quarter on another Neal TD, and then ran away and hid in the second half.
UT survives a big scare at home to continue being unbeated, 49-27.

FIU rolls over ULM 64-14. The Panthers offense finally hit on all cylinders putting up 496 yards of total offense, 292 on the ground, and only had 1 TO on the day. Speedy Bback Damonte Terry (91 sp 96 acc) carried the rock 23 times for 213 yds and 2 TD's. Unfortunately despite everything we still had to kick 5 field goals. The passing game also needs a lot of work but that will come if the running game can continue to put up these kind of numbers.
