Stunner in Athens!
UT upsets the #3 Georgia Bulldogs 45-25. The Vols are out to a 6-0 start and gaining some traction in the polls. This win should slingshot us past some of the falling schools and we plan to welcome Arkansas to Rocky Top next week.
Heisman dandy, Raijon Neal, rushed for 203 yards and 4 TDs. He has been a beast this year and looks fully recovered from the sprained wrist that cost him a game earlier this season. The offensive line continues to create holes, even though their anchor at center is still hurt.
Georgia had plenty of chances, because we couldn't keep them off the field. The Dawgs converted 13 of 21 3rd downs and had 600+ yards of total offense. But they couldn't move the ball in the red zone, which killed them.
Ready to advance.

Baylor Outlast FIU
On a sloppy field in Waco, the Baylor Bears were able to hold on to a 21-6 win against FIU. Don’t let the score fool you. It was a back and forth all day. Most of the game the teams were locked in a 14-6 defensive battle. FIU missed on 1 PAT, and 2 FG’s, and it wasn’t till 1:51 left in the 4th qtr that Baylor was able to pull out to a comfortable 21-6 lead. *Statistically the game was not very impressive. The Bears were only able to get 274 yards on offense. They also only went 4-10 passing for 89 yards. However RB Bennet and FB Martin both had good days on the ground with 88 and 80 yards respectively, both also contributed a TD. The Bears are now .500 for the year and on a 2 game win streak as they now must face their hated in state rival the Texas Longhorns.
In recruiting news Coach Willard has locked up 3 more soft commits this past week, and look to possibly add a few more after the Texas game.
