FIU loses to Maryland 17-7. The offense was once again terrible only putting up only 158 yds but finally scoring a TD. The Panthers first TD on the season came with 2:41 to go in the 3rd quarter. QB Jake Medlock was 3/16 for 29 yds and threw 4 picks on the day. Next up 16th ranked USF...

Baylor loses to WVU 46-34

Baylor stumbles out of the blocks, with new offensive coordinator, Coach Willard. Looking at the game, it seemed that Baylor was just not comfotable the first quarter. They finally got things somewhat rolling, but WVU was already up 27-7. Then starting QB Petty was knocked out of the game. So the Bears were using a new offense, with a fresh qb with less than steller throwing skills. Not to mention WVU offense just couldn't be stopped at first. They tore out of the gate. And their D was alot faster then Baylors was too. The Bears made it a game, but in the end a non experianced qb and D that wasnt ready for WVU air raid, spelled disaster for the Bears opening week. THe Bears get another week off, then they will host the Oregon Ducks.

Side note, my 2 backup qb's are terrible. If my #1 qb doesnt stay healthy it could be a long year for the bears.
