Almost done with regular season.

Well....Memphis escapes a loss again this week. 2-9 Tulsa came out playing like a 9-2 team instead of 2-9. Jumped up on me 24-0 with the help of 6 turnovers by Memphis not to mention Tulsa constantly hurting my players. I ended up playing 3 qbs due to injury. Memphis finally starts to close the gap in the 3rd qtr by scoring and getting a 2 pt conversion. We held Tulsa scoreless in the 4th qtr and managed to score 20 to win the game 28-27. It was ranked the #1 game. Very suprised by the clutch play late in the game by my 3rd string QB. The way my team has been playing lately makes me think we are ALOT farther away from being a complete team than I thought earlier in the season. Recruiting is not going as well as I had hoped for either.

Lol, a top 50 recruiting class and it's not going well? I should be so lucky... :-). BYU gets a fairly convincing win against Vandy. Highlights of the year include an 8 game winning streak to finish the regular season, as well as signing the #1 recruit in the nation, a 5* HB from Calgary, CN. Next year is looking up if we can get some defensive growth.

Just not going as well as I had hoped. I have SEVERAL 4 star players on my radar but will only actually land a handful. I got too greedy offering all of those 4 star guys and got behind on the lower ranked kids that wanted to play at Memphis and I am too far behind the competition to get them now.

Arizona loses a stunner in which the defense played well to only allow 16 points but the offense was HORRIBLE. The worst of which was the right side of the OL which simply couldn't block the left side of Utah's DL. Between the 2 of those guys they gave up 5 sacks and they are supposed to be my best pass blocking guys. The running game was pretty good and I probably got away from it to early. The passing game was pitiful since the QB had no time to pass. Seemed that every time he dropped back it was a sack, hit and incomplete or knocked down at the line.
Overall just a very disappointing game and one which I'll just have to put behind us because now we have out toughest game of the year against a very powerful Oregon team in the PAC-12 title game. The season can still be a great success if I can somehow pull out the PAC-12 championship and pull off a huge win in a BCS bowl game which I assume would be the Rose Bowl.
