FAU Steam Rolls NT
The FAU team turned in another great day, as they completely dismantled NT. The Mean Green had no answer for FAU's rushing attack. Jones again went well over 100 yard and 2 TD's but he also had over 100 receiving on the day. FAU QB Kool, threw for 4 TD's also. Right now the Owls are looking very dangerous and if they can keep up their offensive onslaught they should have a real chance at challenging for the Sun Belt championship. Next week the Owls are off, but then they must take on a very dangerous Troy team. It will be a battle of opposites, as Troy will pass it all over, while FAU wants to grind it out. Should be a great game.

Over the last 3 weeks, I've witnessed the demise of my offense. Week 5 I had a track meet with Miami U in the rain, and won it on a last minute drive, 48-41. Lots of slips, lots of drops, lots of big plays. Miami had one chance to tie it up, but we knocked it down! Week 6 was a letdown vs. UAB in the nasty cold. We won 33-15, but it was a yawner.
Week 7 was the rivalry renewed. Can't read, can't write, Kent State! Cold and rain this time, in a terribly played game. BG's QB went 8-22 with a TD and 2 INTs. Jonathan Hopgood rushed for 57 yards but got hurt. His backup was hurt last week, so third stringer Jason Rice bulled up for 100 yards to help earn the victory.
POTG ended up being kicker Jerry Phillips. He went 4-4, with a season long 45 yarder as the Falcons stunk less than the Golden Showers 19-7. The 7 for Kent State came at the hands of CB David Polk, won picked off a pass weaved his way through 8 BG players and emerged untouched to score. I really expected this to be an EA fuck you game, but my defense shutout their offense.
Still, we gave up 5 sacks and couldn't complete a pass in the second half. Hopefully we will get the passing game worked out before next week's game vs. Akron.
