ASU defense leads the charge against Iowa State intercepting five passes from the Cyclones. QB Phillip Butterfield added 291 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Red Wolves prove the naysayers wrong 40-7.

Arkansas State improves to 4-2 (1-1) on the season and have completed their roughest stretch of the season. Only Florida International remains as the most likely candidate to stand in their way.

Army survives a 4 for 20 start by freshman QB Peterson and overcomes a 34-7 deficit by defeating UAB 35-34. A late TD in the 2nd quarter, and then Army shut out UAB 21-0 in the 2nd half to get to 4-4 on the year and a test against #21 Miami (OH) next week.
