FAU gets win #2!

The Owls beat instate rival FIU 35-28. FIU jumped out to a 28-14 lead at half. The Owls started backup quarterback Wilbert. But after 1 1/2 quarters he was pulled for the usual starter Curtis. He lead the Owls to 21 second half points, while the Owl D finally shut someone down. The game would have been less of a closer game if the Owls kicker hit any of the 3 FG's he missed. The Owls put their best game together today with over 500 yards of offense, while still maintaining an almost 50-50 split on the yardage. The Owls used 6 differant rushes to pile up over 200 yards on the ground. Even though the Owls will not get to a bowl this year, coach Willard said that they are focused on getting better, more efficient, the rest of the year, while trying to win out. They also are very focused on their recruiting class which is looking really good. They Owls have a really good chance of landing as many as 6, 3* recruits.

FAU ready to advance.

Sorry for the delay last week. I was super busy with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign. I'll be out of town from tomorrow afternoon, till probably tuesday night. I'll set myself to autopilot before I leave.

Buffalo and Heisman Front runner hang 62 points in the first half alone on Eastern Michigan, but because of the holidays they ere nice enough to play all backups during the 2nd half.

Following the news of a Buffalo win, Bowling Green had to bring their A game vs. the Northern Illinois. Bowling Green was unhappy when they left thier dorm room to find wind and snow in the forecast. My California QB is not used to this kind of weather, and it showed.

The ground game did well in the first half, as BG was able to trade punched with NIU 14-14. It looked to be a silly shootout in the snow at that point. The Huskies scored first in the second quarter to go up 21-14. Then we were hit with the double whammy of an opponent's TD, missed field goal, and an OP field goal. 24-14 at the half because 31 and then 38-17 at the end of three when Bowling Green's QB completely lost the ability to complete a forward pass.

Adjustments have to be made if BG wants to keep anyhope of a Conference Championship alive. We now trail Buffalo by a loss, and if they continue thier torrid pace, we will have to beat them in the season finale to win the division.

Ready to advance.
