Crazy night night last night...went to a wedding. A friend of mine and his wife were dancing. All of the sudden the music stops and my friend is on the ground. 5 minutes later the best man (who just happens to be an EMT) is performing CPR. I'm calling 911 and my friend has no pulse and isn't breathing. 10-15 minutes later the paramedics arrive. Use the paddles and get a pulse. They get him in the ambulance and he wakes up and actually tries to sit up. At the emergency room one of the EMT's tells us he's never seen a recovery like that. He basically had a heart attack and is still in ICU but should be ok. Totally surreal seeing your friend lie their for 10 minutes with no pulse. That blank stare had me up all night. The best man saved his life...thank God he's an EMT.

So a very special Father's Day to my friend Jim, father of 4. Glad you're going to be ok.

well as you can all tell I'm back at work and now that I'm not entertaining my sick kid today I'll be around a little more often. Time to catch up with everything from over the weekend to as I tend to not get much time to float around the boards much since I'm usually running around chasing a 3 and 5 year old everywhere.

On other news I picked up Nascar 11 for the Wii for my son. He loves it :D

I also picked up Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 ( I know it's old, but remember I have only bought 4 games for my PS3 up till April of this year) they were NCAA 09, NHL 09, NCAA 10, and NCAA 11 so I'm really branching out here.

I now have:
Tiger Woods 12
NCAA 11, 10, 09
NHL 11, 09
COD MW2
MX vs ATV (yet another game where my boy has fun, heck even my 3yr old daughter loves playing this one)

I couldn't even begin to list how many games I have. It's at least 37, probably more than 40. I rarely ever trade in or sell games, only the yearly sports titles (NCAA, Madden, etc). I know, that a week, a month, whenever, sometime after I sell or trade in that game, I'm going to suddenly want to play it again and I won't have it. I pop all my games from time to time. I'll get the itch one day to suddenly go through the campaign in COD4 or MW2 or I'll want to screw around in Fable II, or Halo 3, or GTA IV, etc. So I still own pretty much every game I've ever bought for 360. Only NCAA 09-11 and Madden 09-11 have been the only games to get sold off or traded in.

So NCAA 12 will only cost me $35 with my Amazon credit I'll get.

I mean I don't want to sound insensitive because I think it's terrible when anyone loses their life and I know Bam is upset but he really wasn't wrongfully taken.... he was flirting with death and it got him.

I know EXACTLY how he feels. In 2007, my college roommate and one of my closest/best friends died suddenly. He had a seizure in church, his heart stopped, and they couldn't bring him back. He was 28 years old. Him and his wife just bought their house and was starting to work towards starting a family. I still remember the phone call from his wife like it happened 5 minutes ago. I was frozen. I couldn't speak. Eventually, the grief of losing my friend led to me having anxiety attacks and I was put on medication for it. I carried that grief for so long that it nearly broke up my marriage before it even got off the ground.

I pray he makes it through. It's rough. I know.

Carroll added, "No other substances were found in his blood other than the alcohol."

As TMZ reported, Dunn and his passenger were killed when Dunn lost control of his Porsche, crashed in a wooded area and his car exploded in flames.

UPDATE: Now cops are saying Dunn was traveling between 132 and 140 MPH at the time of his crash

Actually I totally could see an Unofficial Vikings thread. In my mind the "Official" thread would be run by the Minnesota Vikings themselves and the "Un" would be by any Tom, Dick or Hosier that wanted to put up a thread of their thoughts.... the problem is there is no consistency and no responsibility for the naming and anyone can post it's the "Official"

Yeah, I really don't do too much in CoD anymore. I played the hell out of MW2 from the day it came out, through the spring, disappeared for a month or two, played some more before quitting in August due to the douchebags. Right now, my only involvement in MW2 these days is playing private matches with some friends, doing random shit like headshots only with pistols and riot shields and other random stupid stuff. I will subject myself to the retards online, but only if my group of three other friends are online and all four of us can team up.

Black Ops, I actually have really not touched MP at all. Still on my avoidance of anything and everything multiplayer, I pretty much stuck to zombies, campaign, and screwing around in combat training, doing stuff like 1 vs 3 or 1 vs 5 with veteran level AI difficulty. I played one match when I got tossed into a public MP match with a friend, but that was it for me after that one match. Really killed my interest in returning to MP when it was a group full of douches.

Not sure but I think my internet provider (AT&T DSL) is throttling me... the first couple of nights of uploading videos, they generally took about 3 hours to upload. Now the same length videos (15 minutes, right around 1GB) are taking 4-5 hours. I'll have to remember to check my speedtest results tomorrow when I'm not uploading anything.

I have gotten it early for the last few years and will so again this year, just a matter or Friday or Saturday.

See while it is frustrating at times and quite frankly pisses me off when things turn sour during a call it is all worth it when you get that game in mail early and can hop on and play. I also don't really "work" very hard so searching and making calls for me just helps pass the time till I can leave and go home :D:D

I was just saying that in general, with some of the comments, especially by newer members in the past week, as well as over on OS and stuff like that, people practically curled up in the fetal position in tears over having to wait another week or something. For me personally, I just don't understand those kind of people. Seems to me, people like those kids, they might have something called an addiction. :D

my mom needs a hearing aid. i supposedly got a call from capital one's fraud department regarding fraudulant charges from my xbox account getting hacked. she writes down the number and i call it as soon as i get home from work.

when i called that number though, there's some short little voice message thats played, telling me to call a different number instead. so i call that new number that voice message said, and it turns out to be a phone sex hotline.

i get on capital one's website and find out the fraud department's number was different than the one she wrote down in the first place. :fp:
