Graduate student Jacqueline Samuel has turned the act of cuddling into a business. In June, the 29-year-old launched the Snuggery, a company that allows clients to cuddle with her for $60 an hour. (Other options include a 45-minute session for $50 or a 90-minute session for $90.) Apparently, business is booming — so much that Samuel decided to hire an additional snuggling professional, the Daily Mail reports. She currently runs the business from her home in Penfield, N.Y., just outside Rochester.

“You feel more calm for days afterward,” Samuel told ABC affiliate WHAM-TV. “It has numerous health benefits.”

While some have criticized Samuel’s business model, declaring it akin to prostitution, she’s made it clear that sex is not part of the equation. Sexual activity — or any touching that is sexual in nature — is against the rules. (Sexual arousal, however, is permissible.) But above all, the snuggling sessions are meant to be therapeutic and comforting, building on the “psychological and physical benefits of nonsexual touch,” according to the website.

Now that Samuel has hired another snuggler, clients can also opt for the “Double Cuddle” — that is, a snuggling session with both women at the same time. (That ups the price to $100 for 45 minutes, $120 for 60 minutes and $180 for 90 minutes.)

To build credibility and legitimacy, Samuel sought out some kind of professional cuddling license or training — but, as you might imagine, such a thing doesn’t really exist. Her expertise does, however, include the mastery of more than 100 snuggling positions, thanks to a handy little book called Cuddle Sutra.

Amazon's free standard shipping is REALLY starting to piss me the fuck off. This will be the 4th time I've ordered something from them, with their free standard shipping, and watched it sit in the UPS warehouse in Charleston for 3-4 days while the "estimated delivery time" rolls around. WTF?! I used to get shit from them specifically because I could get it in 3-4 days instead of 7-10 because they have distribution centers so close to WV. A fuckin' item shouldn't take 7-10 motherfuckin' days to go from Kentucky to Charleston WV and it DEFINITELY shouldn't be sitting in the god damn UPS center from the 10th of November until now. I can understand not delivering it on Vet's day. That's fine. But it shouldn't be Wednesday at 11:00am and they still haven't updated the fact that it's on a goddamn truck.

Well, only a couple more hours before I have to go out and deal with all the dumbshits and nutjobs out Black Friday shopping for another year. Our campaigns, the toy drive and food drive, for a couple years now have been combining forces on Black Friday, canvassing the entire north side of town in front of the mall and Walmart, trying to collect as much money from the Black Friday nutjobs as we can.

We usually start around 4am, go until 8am or so (one year we stopped around 7:30 because it was raining, another year around 7:45 because it was something like 10 degrees and windy as all fucking hell) and this year looks to suck also. There's rain that's supposed to start anytime now (looking at radar, there's a couple bands of rain in Indiana right now) that will go until at least 6am, and even though it's 54 degrees at the moment, it's only downhill from here to a lovely 37-39 degrees by 7 or 8am.

Yeah, this is gonna suck. Thank god I have all my work in the office done for the week and don't have to go in for anything today. After 8am comes (and a possible group trip to a friend's restaurant for breakfast) just have to wait until 12:30 for a haircut appointment and then I can hit the sack for the rest of the day.

I want to believe that I read a study somewhere that, technically speaking, the body runs more efficiently on 4-6 hours of sleep than it does 8+. Something attributed to the fact that, while early man would stay in their dwelling from 8 or 9 pm until 7 or 8 am the next morning, they would sleep in shifts of only 5 or 6 hours a night. I could be totally pulling that out of my ass though.

Personally, I've actually found that sleeping for 5-6 hours I feel better in the morning unless I sleep for exactly 8 hours. I don't know what it is, but, for some reason, if I sleep for 7 or 7 1/2 hours, I feel like complete dogshit the next morning.

Step 2: Tell her you can't be just her friend, after what's already happened. It would be too tough on you to be just a friend."We can be friendly, but not friends. I can't do it, I'm sorry." Tell her she can contact you when she realizes she made a huge fucking mistake. It never hurts to tell her that you are saddened by the fact that she won't allow herself to be treated well, after all she's been through.

Step 3: Wish her luck, back off, and wait for her to start contacting you. When she does, ask her why she would do that after what you told her. Be a little shitty about it, if needed - "I can't be your friend". Eventually, she'll crack and tell you she fucked up. If not, you weren't getting that anyway.

This shit works, especially with the young ones. This is Man Wisdom. Guard it with your life.

Motherfucker, I fucked up my back again (wish I could say it was during sex like a boss or some shit, but, sadly no). I'm going to do the stupid thing and try to get through it today at work. It's a dumb thing to do considering the amount of sick time I have saved up, but, it's not nearly as bad as it was last time (aka, I can actually walk this time). Just need to do shit and work the muscle spasms out and I'll be fine (wish I could find the muscle relaxers from the last time I fucked it up, but I think I actually took them all). Just coming home from work, following a van down the road, fucking idiot nearly wipes out trying to turn right onto another road, fishtailing around the corner, then coming to a complete stop, before sitting there wildly spinning the tires while trying to accelerate on the snowy roadway. For fuck's sake. It's only a damn covering of snow on the roadway, not even half an inch, and idiots are already fishtailing around turns and spinning the tires trying to accelerate. Thanks man. It's better, but still hurts to walk for extended periods of time (I feel like a fuckin' old person or some shit). I'm pretty sure it's a pinched nerve in my left leg that's extending up to the lower spinal area. Same shit I had last time and it just took time to work it out.

Shit, that's every winter here in WV. People here freak the fuck out when there's a little bit of water on the road and drive like complete idiots when there's snow on the ground. Every time I see a SUV flying past me on the road while there's a bit of snow on the road, I'm just waiting for the idiots to wreck because they think because they have 4-wheel drive, they're invincible.

My car has traction control so it's a bit better than a normal front wheel drive vehicle, but I'm not an idiot and drive like a sane person (never over 45 or 50, slowing on turns to prevent loss of traction, break firmly and evenly instead of slamming on the breaks all of a sudden).

Dude I thought the same thing when I did that to my back..like this is ridiculous. I had to get out of bed slow, damn near crawl in the shower. Needed help getting off the coach and climbing in my SUV was a battle every morning. Took a heating pad with me where ever I went. I didn't think I could take it, crazy how you don't realize that your Back controls everything...until well you hurt your back. At the time didn't feel like I did anything to it but that continuous strain in that same position I was in for so long apparently wasn't good.

Good it's feeling better. Like I said mine just went away eventually. I occasionally feel a twinge whenever I'm in a hunched over position for a while so I make sure not to be like that. Going to start focusing on strengthening my Back from now on.

One guy called one time bitching because he personally thought the question I asked was stupid. This guy who apparently didn't like the answer.

And unless it's been the same person every time, they have all bitched me out, and then immediately hung up the phone before I can say anything, like they want the satisfaction of having just told me off without me being able to make a response that might shoot down their high and mighty opinion with facts, logic or reasoning.

If it wasn't due to work, I would never go to the next county over that the station where I do my morning show is located and where these people live. They are all nothing but damn nutjobs in that county. They're the reason I have had to go into work at 3am in the past on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving morning, Christmas Eve, Christmas morning, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day morning, etc. Because heaven forbid those dumbasses don't get their damn news, pop quiz trivia and 10 minute long birthday clubs every single day, 365 days a year. One of our guys only just last month finally managed to convince our market manager to stop doing a live show on Thanksgiving and Christmas and automate the mornings. Record the birthday club the day before, have some prerecorded news and sports to play, and set up the commands so they still get their random crap throughout the morning from CBS News and let everyone have the holiday off for a change.

You have a good point. Our AM station has already gone full automation. The guy who did the morning show there for over 20 years was laid off in the first round of what has become annual, two times a year company-wide layoffs. After that, one of our production guys filled in on the mornings over there for a year or so, before we finally picked up a syndicated morning show over satellite this past spring. Now the AM station is 100% automated with wall to wall satellite programming, the only time anything in that studio is live being when we do high school football and basketball in the evenings with the city high school football and boys and girls basketball teams.

Our FM stations, the country station is live from 6-10am in studio, the rest of the day is voicetracked by people from elsewhere in the country. We also have football and boys/girls basketball affiliated with a local conference, four of eight teams in the conference being from here in the county, so we air games of all four of those county schools. The Hot AC station, live from 6-9am in studio and then voicetracked the rest of the day as well. So on air, it's pretty much only in the morning. The rest of the day is kept busy with church services that arrive throughout the week on tape and CD and have to be played/recorded real time into the computer system and producing spots for local businesses.

The other station in our market, that I do Saturday mornings on, is sort of the odd exception to how things are done everywhere else. They still have a live person in studio from 5-9am and from 9am-2pm during the week (and me on air from 6-9am on Saturdays and a person in studio (through not on air) moving the station in and out of various church services from 8:30am to noon on Sundays), with various contests through the day, live news, sports, weather, etc all morning and early afternoon. They have a lot of extra added crap throughout the day with CBS News programs, Ohio Ag stuff (the ag programs are HUGE with the schools and station in that county) and random other 3-5-10 minute long programs they air from day to day. Mondays with the Mayor, county office updates, county school updates, etc.

Of course, they're also notorious for having 15 minute long news segments, 10 minute long sports segments, 10-15 minute long breaks during live remotes (which is ridiculous on it's own, 3-5 minutes should be more than enough for any remote break if you're doing your job right). But the station is allowed to get away with it and pretty much violate various company-wide procedures every day, simply because they haul in some big amounts of money from various sponsors on various programs. The way that county is, the people there love the stuff that is done on air, so the station can get away with it and as long as the money keeps coming in, corporate won't shut anything down or make any changes anytime soon.

In a nutshell, some woman pastor in St. Louis crossed out the auto 18% gratuity and wrote 0, along with saying "I tip God 10%, why should I give you more?". Some other waitress in the restaurant (not the one who served the pastor) took a picture and posted it online, admitted to doing so when questioned by management, and was fired for violating employee policy forbidding posting customer information (and just simply receipts for that matter) online.

Now people are getting pointy sticks up their ass because the chick was fired for posting a picture of the receipt online and vowing to never eat at Applebee's again and, etc, etc, the same old tired shit everyone claims every time some "controversy" regarding a restaurant breaks out. The fact that she blatantly violated company and employee policy and straight up admitted to doing so, giving Applebee's grounds to fire her, apparently does not matter to the dumbshit masses.
