It was a bittersweet return to Oxford, OH for Coach Roadhouse. In last year's MAC GBN, Coach Roadhouse couldn't get Dat U higher than a short stint in the top 20 which included a midlevel bowl win. But this year, he's on the opposing press box. He's calling in the plays from upstairs instead of pacing the home sideline.

So it was disappointing as Miami U got off to a quick start with a 6 yard TD pass to stud TE Kendrick Burton. Bowling Green overcame the jitters to roll off 6 scoring possessions in a row, before half time. It was 38-7 before Dat U bookended a field goal and a touchdown around halftime to close the gap.

But the rushing attack of The Falcons was too much. It opened up some huge passing lanes later in the game and the Falcons pulled away easily 52-20. That's four wins in a row. All good things must come to an end, and next on our schedule is a trip to West Virginia. This game will let us know whether Bowling Green is for real, or just posing this season.

Ready to advance.

Finally....the Owls horrible non conferance schedule is over. After 3 straight beat downs by BCS automatic qualifying teams, the Owls get ready to begin conferance play. However the Owls did manage to keep the game close for 3 quarters before Auburns superior speed, and depth took over. The Owls did however play much better, once they went with the freshman QB Curtis. Talking with coach Willard after the game he said that he is sure that they have settled on an offensive style, and now will work to refine it. Also that he is going to be sticking with Curtis for now at QB. Curtis was the 3rd string QB when the season started, but being the more mobile of all the FAU QB's, he gives the Owls an added demension to thier offense. The Owls start their run at the Sun Belt title next week.

FAU ready to advance.

The Commish is on a bye trying to figure out WTF to do with his offense that has a STUD @ RB but he gets tired/benched after 2 consecutive carries and a QB that couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat in the middle of the ocean. Perhaps, the commish should try the tripple option?

This is the offense that FAU is running. I based my playbook off of Woffords offense.

Kinda sounds like what I started with in UNLV. The RB was good but by the third possession I would be behind by 21 points. Then my young QB was so shaky, he would wet himself. I'm blessed to have a decent start now, because I've never, ever had this kind of first year success. But, it's just a matter of time.....
