12: Season 2 Offseason

We are now in the Coaching Carousel for this season.

The rules this year are that you can only accept positions that are :3star: prestige AND 85 or below in the side of the ball you're taking (ie if OC, then 85OFF) as well as 85 or below in OVR. Obviously if you're applying for head coach job, just look at the 85 OVR or below.

I hope that's at least somewhat clearer than mud but if you have any questions, ask before accepting a job offer.

gschwendt, psusnoop, JBHuskers, and Bsktblljk all had their contracts end and/or terminate. Currently they are listed without a school, though possibility exists for their school to pick them back up.

For example, when I booted into the CC, it asked if I wanted to sign a new contract with ASU, but it also said that I'm not guaranteed to get the job, just that when their turn comes I'll automatically be accepted into the position if there aren't any better candidates.

Are the bettet than 3* and higher than 85?You're not necessarily stuck with Hawaii... just depends on if you get any other job offers. That said, there are :3star: jobs out there that are below 85, just a matter of whether they come open or not and if you're a candidate. It's a crapshoot.

It was my bad on the bowl game... as I mentioned, it said everyone was listed as "Ready to Advance".

We can move golf to Tuesday and knock out offseason Monday. I won't be home til around 9 cst.

Our other options are for JB to skip everything up to 9pm or we wait until Wednesday night (assuming everyone can make it Wednesday night).

Week 5 offseason recruiting done for SJST.

Also SJST got a :4star: commit OLB :espnu150: Junior White very happy and extremely pleased with this class. It is very strong and really should give me some depth at some key positions.

The week 1 glitch really screwed me. I had a real good shot at two :4star: to get on my top 10. Plus I could have got Ohio as a pipeline. I'm not sure how this will turn out this season with losing by stud QB. I'm just hoping I built up the defense enough to keep me in games.

For anyone that didn't join us last night, we ran into a problem with the OD. In the end, I had to recreate the OD as SBCOL2. Everyone should have received an invite to the new OD. For everyone except bsktblljk (I'll explain in a moment), when you join, you'll just simply join as existing coach and take the same place as where you left.

For Jake, you have a choice... when we reloaded the OD, it was before the Carousel took place so as the carousel progressed, your coach decided to become the OC of Iowa State. They fit within the limitations of the schools we can join so if you would like to be the OC of ISU, you can do that by joining as existing coach. If you'd prefer to go back to ULL, you'll just simply have to create a new coach, and then choose to be the OC of ULL.


All that said, last night we made it through Week 5 offseason recruiting. I'll be advancing to position changes sometime during the day today. Everyone will have 24 hours to complete that, and then we'll take each stage one at a time with 24 hour deadlines that way.

My big signing of the year was a :4star: QB that comes in with 87THP and 90THA and 79OVR :). He is perhaps the best QB I've ever signed in an OD. He'll compete for the starting job against a RSSr but the Sr's AWR will probably beat him out.

Everybody is done with position changes except DariusLock (who hasn't joined the OD yet, nor been on PSN/TGT). I'm about to start my Tiger rounds and then will advance the OD after that tonight. That will get us to training results. For anyone that wants to see training results, I'll leave it at that stage overnight, then advance to cuts sometime during the day tomorrow. Player cuts will have a deadline of 12/1 at 6pm CT but as with position changes, it would be great if we knocked them out sooner. Great work guys.

I moved a RS Soph QB over to RB since I signed two QB's (one of which is going to start as a true freshman I believe). I'm pretty solid at RB with two juniors, one in the 80's and one in the high 70's....the QB I moved over the HB is a 71 OVR. My All-American true freshman Lance Rogers will return as maybe the only reliable target. Two true freshmen TE will be starting and have to really step it up to help the offense keep pace now that QB Steelman has graduated.

Oh my while I improved depth in so many positions with this great class I have so many glaring weaknesses.

I moved my SR ROLB to play FS for me. I moved my SR FS to CB. :fp:

I will be playing true freshman at ROLB, LOLB, 2 CB's (1 in Nickel formations only), LT, LG.



I really need to have another solid class this year to get over the hump but I'm hopeful that I can go 6-6 and get a bowl game invite at that. Tall task this season but I'm hopeful.

I'm solid all over except maybe DL but the scary part is that I'm really top heavy, especially at OL & DB. I could also use something better for the future at the WR position. The next two years could be scary/interesting.

Same here...gonna be a tall task with most likely a true freshman at QB, but he's my highest rated.

I have a transfer at QB this year starting and he could be just what I need to get me into a bowl game. My fingers are crossed. He is an 86 or 84 ovr, which is crazy upgrade from the last 2 years of 58ovr and last year true freshman 65ovr. I just hope my WR's can catch the darn ball.

I checked my training online G, so for me you can advance to cuts whenever you want :D

I forgot I have an 89ovr DT RS JR that I think transferred but can't remember completely (he had to of lmao).

Wish I had the horses at LB'er to run the 3-4 but I've only got 4 that are rated 70 or higher. Just no depth to use. I may tweak my defensive playbook a little and add a few plays in but I can't use that as my base this year. Maybe next year though.

I don't think there's any way for me to know about anyone else making cuts. I looked but I couldn't tell. It's possible the online rosters are updated at some point today and you would be able to tell that way.

Online you can go into recruiting and look. It says that I have 69 players on my team so I'm done and ready for the advance.

If you look just at your roster it will not show you the incoming freshman, you have to check the recruiting tab and then team needs to be able to tell what you have.

I have walk-ons at FB, DT, & MLB and it doesn't count them; however it does show it as a "need" so you could just add any needs to your count and go from there.
