My wife and I have adopted two angels this Christmas (1 10 year old boy and 1 9 year old girl). We are supposed to spend $40-$60 on toys for each angel. Unfortunately, their wish lists items are either illegilble or the gifts they want are WAY out of the price range.

Any suggestions on what 10 year old boys/girls are into these days will be greatly appreciated!

Well, what did they want? Giving us an idea of what they asked for would give us an idea of what to suggest instead of those expensive items.

Of the items I can read, the boy requested a DSI and a Wii. The girl requested a touchscreen phone and a DSI. She also requested an Ipad but it is erased by someone but is still visible. The items I cannot read/comprehend are "weestlering toy" and "skatec"

My daughter is 10. I will have her next week for Thanksgiving. I'll try to get her to put a list together for herself and post it here.

Well, it sounds like the boy likes wrestling (who can blame him, I was all over Hulk Hogan as a kid, but that was the glory years of wrestling). Any of these look like good places to start for that. (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=wii&x=0&y=0#/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=wrestling+toys&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Awrestling+toys) Maybe get JB to help ya with what wrestling figures to get for the kid as I've been out of the wrestling scene for 15 years or so. ;)

As for the girl, this is a pretty decent touchscreen Net10 phone (http://www.amazon.com/NET10-LG800G-PREPAID-TOUCHSCREEN-NO-CONTRACT/dp/B0057K6EVC) and with a micro sd card (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=micro+sd+card&x=0&y=0), it's a pretty decent multimedia device as well. Certainly not bad for a kid and, while it will cost her money for minutes, it'll also teach her responsibility.

Just now thinking, maybe the girl wants skates (skatec). Plenty of options there as well. (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=roller+skates+for+women&x=0&y=0)

He's probably a John Cena fan :fp:
