I doubt that begging to the higher ups would help...but...

I want to stay at WKU and try and build them up EXCEPT if I were to receive an offer from Texas A&M or Notre Dame.

Having a 5-7 record I can't see that happening, but just saying if one of those jobs opens I'd love to have either. Otherwise I plan on staying at WKU.

Interesting.... I'm a thinker though and need to review the contract goals and roster of :Mississippi_State: before seeing what else is out there. Obviously, I'm only leaving :Tennessee: for a HC position. Of course that presumes the great people of Knoxville will have me. UT only signed me to a 1 year DC position so I guess I could be unemployed.

Funny you should mention that, because I noticed on the next job for Notre Dame that the current OC is listed as a rumored candidate. His contract expired, too. If you want the guy back, just hire him. Instead, they will hang this guy out to twist in the wind as other people walk in for a sit down. Its not as bad as what happened to Tony Sparano when they were recruiting guys while he was still employed, but its close.

LMAO. Actually, the in-laws were in town so I didn't get a chance to review the team or contract. I tried to login to the dynasty from work but I couldn't view it so I'll take a look at it this evening.

No. You can view other jobs, and you may see the "you're on our list, but don't call us we will call you" message, but you can't apply. Once a coach makes a decision, other jobs open up and then you'll get to choose. If the first job isn't interesting you can decline the job offer, but your resume will still circulate. If you are happy where you are, you can decline all offers and stay where you are. Then you won't be considered anymore that offseason.

I'm not sure what happens if your contract expired. CLW might be able to help us, since he didn't accept the first gig offered to him.

CLW you had a few days to complete your coaching carousel and the rest of us has a few hours. Seems kinda one sided. Maybe I'm just complaining but it seems like everyone isn't going to be checking it hourly today.

And I'm not sure about the other offseason job offers. I see that Notre Dame is looking for a OC. I have clue if they would offer me the job since I didn't do that well with WKU but I "reviewed the contract" and it DOES have a spot to "apply for the job", so I did. Tells me I might be passed over for the job if others are offered the job prior to my turn in the coaching carousel but yes it DOES look like you can apply for them. I did.

But if we don't make it to my turn prior to 8pm I guess it does matter. Just have to see how the cookie crumbles.

Amish has accepted the defensive coordinator's position in Georgia. I'm sure he's looking forward to matching defensive skills with CLW every year! That'll be a hell of a match up.

Coach Dave Baldwin of Utah State is on the clock. He is being offered the OC job at the University of South Florida. Will Agman ever leave USU....
