Dynasty - First Round: More OD/Commish Options vs. OD Spectator Mode

More OD/Commish Options: ‘Coach Mode’ Only Online Dynasties, Custom Schedule Enhancements, Commissioner Ability to Set Sim W/L, Sliders in User-User OD Games

‘Coach Mode’ Only Online Dynasties - After years of requesting a full-fledged ‘Coach Mode,’ NCAA Football 12 saw the mode added. However, there was no setting when creating an Online Dynasty to allow for ‘Coach Mode’ Online Dynasties. This feature would provide such a mode, complete with the broadcast camera view.

Custom Schedule Enhancements - Adding more customization to Dynasty Mode, this would allow users to schedule neutral site games, the ability to assign game date and time, and the ability to designate special games (provided that feature is added).

Commissioner Ability to Set Sim W/L - This feature would allow commissioners the option to select the team that should get the win before advancing the week on any unplayed (or uncompleted) Online Dynasty games. Commissioners would select the team they want to win and the CPU would keep running a sim until that result occurs. This would allow users who made an effort to play user-user games get rewarded with a win and could also be utilized to ‘complete’ games with a similar outcome that may have been ended early due to a disconnect.

Sliders in User-User OD Games - Many Online Dynasties will devote endless hours into formulating a set of sliders to help make User vs. CPU games more competitive with gameplay adjustments. However, these same sliders are not used in User-User OD games. This feature would allow the sliders to be used to help games play as OD commissioners and members desire.



Online Dynasty Spectator Mode

After the creation of Online Dynasties, many users asked to keep tabs (or watch) other OD games in-progress. While it is not technologically reasonable (or feasible) to expect streaming video of other games, MLB 09: The Show offers a similar feature via text Play-by-Play and the ability to listen to game commentary. EA SPORTS MMA features a ground-breaking Live Broadcast feature, re-igniting community demand for some form of OD Spectator Mode. One community idea that seems feasible based on current technology in Madden NFL is for four other users being able to watch the game being played, assuming that if OTP allows six people to play, the game should allow four others to simply watch the action.

Damn, both of these are good, but I went with more commish power options. It would help ODs greatly to keep interest and keep going.....and should come first before spectator.

I'm not a diehard OD player but I see spectator mode as falling under more OD options; not competeing against it.

Spectator mode I guess but this round has zero appeal for me as I don't do online in NCAA.

Online Dynasty Spectator Mode - on the rare occasion I play in an online league this would be a great addition.

i picked spectator mode because it would have been awesome if the other members of the 360 TGT od got to saw the goalline stand CDJ made against me to win the game. other big games like user/user national championships or conference championships would be great games to be able to watch as well.

however, i'd also like to see more commish options as well. i really like the force win/force loss simming option for commishs. if sanctions/team punishments were ever added back as well, it'd be cool if the commish could set those as well, like scholarship reductions, etc.

When filling out the field, we had that same discussion but came to the conclusion that OD Spectator Mode is it's own 'beast' in terms of being added to the game which meant it needed to be a solo entry.



I voted for more Commish Options. As an OD Commish, the ability to Sim W/L holds a lot of appeal for the reasons listed above: making sure teams get a proper/deserved win based on scheduling efforts, result uploading errors, etc. The other options would be gravy and continue to add more customization to ODs.

Holy Crap, that IS a tough one. Seeing as though I was just talking with a few of my OD buddies a couple weeks ago because one of their games went to 6 OTs (I think the score was like 83-80 or something to that effect.....no defense whatsoever) I think that I would have LOVED to see that game unfold myself. With that being said............*clicks OD Spectator Mode*
