there we go. Yeah it's the checkbox - "retrieve file and reference locally" But it's only when you add a pic by URL. If you select upload from your computer you only get the attachment. Makes sense since you are uploading it and hosting it on Vbulletin.

Wrestling superstar Matt Hardy was arrested in North Carolina today for suspicion of driving while intoxicated ... TMZ has learned.

According to the Moore County Jail, Hardy was busted this afternoon by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and released around 7:00 PM ET.

Hardy is currently part of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, but made his name in the WWE.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a trooper discovered Hardy after his 2009 Corvette ran off the road and struck a tree. Hardy was by himself at the time and did not suffer any injuries.

The trooper observed signs of impairment and arrested Hardy. He was charged with DWI and the trooper found no other contraband in the vehicle. Hardy submitted to a blood test, the results are pending.

Matt Hardy's arrest today in North Carolina has had immediate repercussions -- he's been DROPPED from TNA.

A rep for TNA tells TMZ, "TNA today released Impact Wrestling star Matt Hardy from its roster. Hardy was already under suspension from the company."

As TMZ first reported, Hardy was arrested after his Corvette smashed into a tree this afternoon. He was not injured.

Yeah. I'm really, really disappointed that they missed an opportunity to turn him heel at MitB.

The problem is, from a WWE perspective, with how split the crowd is. It's really Cena fans or Punk fans ... and neither one likes the other. In my opinion, I've never seen such a crowd split before.

Sin Cara V1 may be done:

The real Sin Cara (RSC) portrayed by the former Mistico could be gone from WWE following his disastrous night at Tuesday's Smackdown TV taping when RSC and Heath Slater required three takes on the finish to their match. RSC was reportedly sent home from the taping before its conclusion and he may not be returning to WWE.

Developmental wrestler Hunico portrayed the Sin Cara character during RSC's 30-day Wellness Policy suspension and will likely keep the character alive. WWE is looking for a return on their investment on Sin Cara after spending weeks of television introducing and developing the character.

This is a pretty crappy thing to do. I lost a lot of respect For GV after reading this.

Greg Valentine no shows Randy Savage tribute show

Great North Wrestling President Devon Nicholson issued the following statement regarding WWE Hall of Famer Greg "The Hammer" Valentine no-showing last Saturday's Randy Savage tribute show in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada after the organization paid $2,000 for his services.

"It is one thing to no-show a pro wrestling event. It is another to demand all your money up front, promise you’re going to come and then no show a huge event like the Macho Man Memorial Show," Nicholson said.

"Greg Valentine cost in the ball park of $2,000 for his payoff, plane ticket, and hotel room. That money all went to waste with him no-showing. Greg Valentine truly showed what scum he is this week. I would highly recommend that no promoter trust or book this man. He better hope he never crosses paths with me again. What he did was a horrible insult to me, Lanny, The Macho Man and most importantly the fans who paid to see him."

After negotiations for Valentine to appear at the Randy Savage tribute show were finalized, he drunkenly called organization officials three days before the event demanding that he be paid more money (which he received). Below is audio of the profanity-laced voice message Valentine left.

How so? It's the same storyline that's been done before. "Oh noez the cell was lowered, who did it?" Let me insert a "who cares" I really thought Cena was working well last night up until the point he was locked out (which was clever I admit) and to make it ADR vs Punk and not have Cena figure in the decision was lame.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has begun mapping out long-term plans for the foreseeable future.

The report begins by discussing the plans for Survivor Series, which in addition to the planned traditional five-on-five elimination match featuring The Rock, is slated to feature a scramble match between Sheamus, Mark Henry, Christian, Kane, Randy Orton and the Big Show.

As many members of the "WWE Universe" are aware of, there hasn't been a scramble match in over three years, since Unforgiven 2008, which hosted two of them won by Triple H and Chris Jericho, respectively.

And unlike other gimmick matches, which have been diluted in importance, the proposed scramble match at Survivor Series has a chance to make an impression due to its relative scarcity on WWE programming in addition to its fast-paced and refreshingly unpredictable format.

Moreover, the main event of the Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV in December is currently scheduled to pit Mark Henry vs. The Big Show in a tables match. This would suggest Mark Henry will hold onto the World Heavyweight Title until then, but it's just as possible the match could be a grudge affair.

Nonetheless, this news is assuring because it suggests the WWE is adamant about continuing Mark Henry's rise to the top of the card at a time when formidable heels, as opposed to the usual spineless characterizations, are able to stand out from the homogeneity.

Mark Henry, the main event superstar, is likely here to stay
Lastly, the company has decided next year's Royal Rumble winner will be from the Smackdown brand.

Instead of vying for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 28, however, the plans call for the Rumble winner to attain the championship at Elimination Chamber and defend it against Daniel Bryan, the holder of the Smackdown Money in the Bank briefcase, at the "showcase of the immortals."

Unless the WWE is going to take a leap of faith on a rising star like Cody Rhodes, this seems to indicate the Smackdown superstar who will defend the title against Bryan at 'Mania will be a safe bet like Randy Orton.

Coincidentally, a Daniel Bryan-Randy Orton matchup at WrestleMania 28 is already being advertised, directly or in a roundabout way, in e-mails sent from Sun Life Stadium, the site of the grand event, to early ticket holders.

If Daniel Bryan does get the title shot, it gives credence to the notion that CM Punk's words of change spoken on TV were also grounded in reality. Building for the future has not necessarily been WWE's modus operandi, often relying on established stars, but this information, and the assumption it carries, signifies a welcomed shift in business strategy.

As always, the WWE is a company with several competing visions, so it's probable that plans can be tweaked or scrapped altogether.

Breaking WWE News: Mark Henry Injured.

Coming out of WWE's TLC pay-per-view, it was obvious to most that something was up with Mark Henry.

Henry, who was going into the match as the World Champion, worked a short chairs match with The Big Show and quickly lost to the giant. An outraged Henry, being a less-than-graceful winner, proceeded to attack and knock out the new World Heavyweight Champion after the match...leading to the opportunistic Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan coming out to successfully cash in his title on The Big Show.

While this was certainly a gripping and dramatic segment (Bryan's shock victory tore the house down), it seemed like very strange and inconsistent booking of Henry, who has been fiercely protected by WWE bookers over the past year. There seemed to be a lot more going on here than mere storyline advancement and, as it turned out, there was.

Over at Prowrestling.net, Jason Powell has revealed the reasons by reporting that Henry is currently nursing a serious groin injury, hence the reason for the speedy title switch. Powell explains:

WWE star Mark Henry is nursing an injury that is said to have led to him dropping the World Hvt. Championship at Sunday's TLC pay-per-view. A source described the injury as a pull in the groin area, and noted that it was suffered during his match against John Cena during Monday's Raw. Testing done during the week revealed that the injury was more severe than was originally believed.

Powell also notes that there were many on the WWE booking team eager to keep the belt on Henry and just have him work a more reduced schedule for the next several weeks, but that WWE boss Vince McMahon made the call to switch the belt.

Certainly this is unfortunate for Henry, who was building major momentum as a monster heel on Smackdown. Hopefully though, this injury will not derail his career too much, and the "World's Strongest Man" can be back on WWE television as soon as possible.

Great theory written up by a fan regarding the videos and the return of someone on 1/2:

In the video the little boy is representing Jericho and the little girl is representing Punk. Keep this in mind throughout my explanation. Notice, how the little boy continues to write in his notebook and the little girl keeps trying to look at what he is writing. Once the boy goes into the corner (Jericho’s time off from WWE), The girl tries to do the work herself, but can’t come up with anything. Keep in mind that she looked at the boy’s notebook and this is implying that she has stolen the boy’s work, which represents Jericho going to come back and claim that Punk is a fraud and has stolen his ideas and gimmick and what not. Also the ball in the video represents Jericho “dropping the ball” by leaving and Punk “taking the ball and running with it”. The ball belonged to the boy and the girl took. At the end the girl is standing in the spotlight and the boy is in the dark with his head down indicating that we have forgotten about Jericho and that Punk is the new guy we all know and love. This will lead to WM match with Punk and Jericho. Look within the video not what the kid is saying….

WWE News: CM Punk Possibly Moving to SmackDown Later in 2012

The WWE had a number of breakout stars in 2011, but CM Punk is undoubtedly at the top of that list.

He was the company’s hottest act throughout the summer and into the fall, turning a rather pedestrian year for Monday Night Raw into a very exciting one seemingly overnight. Despite not having the name recognition of guys like John Cena and Randy Orton, Punk was—at least in my book—the WWE’s most important figure this year and the most entertaining star on Raw.

It appears, however, as if his time on the WWE’s flagship show could be coming to an end in the near future.

From F4Wonline.com (via SEScoops.com):

During a recent WWE creative meeting, the idea was pitched of moving CM Punk to the SmackDown brand later in 2012, to help provide the show with additional star power. Punk has not been a strong ratings draw on RAW, so the idea is that his character could be more of an asset on SmackDown, where he could continue to deliver great matches and promos without having to be relied upon to deliver ratings.

I have mixed feelings on this.

On one side, I want to see Punk stay on Raw because I truly believe that, given time and the right storylines, Punk is the one WWE star not named John Cena who could be the long-term face of the brand.

Punk generated a huge interest in the WWE product this summer that no other star could have replicated, and though he may not be great for TV ratings, his wrestling ability and promo skills make him great for the WWE and Monday Night Raw.

On the other hand, I’d love to see Punk move to SmackDown because I think he’d have more success there: more time for TV matches, a longer run with a World title, a better chance of carrying the brand, etc.

As much as I hate to say it, I just don’t see Punk being treated like anything but option No. 2 as long as he’s on the same brand as Cena. Regardless of who we think is the better wrestler and performer, Cena is viewed by company officials as the top guy and will be treated as such.

So, I feel like I’m stock between a rock and a hard place here, but if I had to pick, I would say that I hope Punk gets moved to SmackDown in the 2012 WWE Draft or via trade somehow.

If Punk continues to thrive as a performer but Raw’s ratings continue to plummet, then I think the WWE would be wise to move Punk to the blue brand where he can still perform at an elite level without being criticized for not being a huge ratings draw.

Punk can still matter on SmackDown, and he can still be the company's top overall performer. The only difference is that he'll be competing for the World Heavyweight Championship instead of the WWE title.

http://bit.ly/uwQrGz

I hope he doesn't go to Smackdown. I never watch it.

JBHuskers
12-29-2011, 09:18 AM
Yeah I'm not a watcher of Smackdown either, but if they start to go live on Tuesdays, I will. With Orton now being out for 6 months, someone is going to have to move over to be a top face.

I honestly cannot believe they are still doing the two "brands" garbage. It seems to me if you want to get the best ratings why not have your best stars perform as much as possible? I suppose the two "brands" allows for multiple "champions" but they could always dust off some old retired titles if they really want to have that many people running around with belts.

They had to retire a few belts just to get the count down. (Original women's, European, Hardcore). I'm fine with the count right now. I think the World Title and U.S. title are important titles in history back to the NWA and WCW. Glad there is only one tag belt because that division has been horrible and uninteresting for years now.

Some also are questioning the exclusion of Ole Anderson (Al “Rock” Rogowski), a member of the original Horsemen, from the soon-to-be-honored group.

Anderson, however, has stated in the past that he had no interest in taking part in anything related to WWE and company owner Vince McMahon.

He said Friday that his stance hasn’t changed.

“Vince McMahon hates my guts, and I don’t like him. So that’s all there is to it,” said Anderson, who was part of one of wrestling’s most famous tag teams, The Minnesota Wrecking Crew, with the late Gene Anderson.

“To be a part of that, anyone with a brain knows who the first Four Horsemen were. It was me and Arn and Ric and Tully Blanchard, and J.J. Dillon was the manager. So if they don’t know that, they don’t know anything about wrestling anyway. So what’s the difference?”

“Vince McMahon is never going to call me,” added Anderson. “I hate his guts just like he hates mine. It’s no big deal.”

Even if he wanted to, he wouldn’t be able to attend due to health problems, said Anderson, 69, who has battled multiple sclerosis in recent years.

“I can’t go anywhere anyway. I’m so screwed up from the multiple sclerosis. I’m in a wheelchair right now, and that thing kills me after a little while and then I have to lay down. That’s my routine. How would I get there? By car? I couldn’t do that. By airplane? I just couldn’t get there.”

Furthermore, said Anderson, he has difficulty assigning any type of value to the induction.

“They’ve inducted me in some halls already. Years ago I was down there with Verne Gagne and Lou Thesz. Who the hell is better than Verne Gagne and Lou Thesz? I wrestled both of them, and I know exactly what they could do. Verne asked me what I thought back then about our induction, and I said, ‘Who’s going to care? Twenty years from now nobody will even know who you are. And there’s probably not too many people who know who you are right now.’ Lou Thesz and Verne Gagne were certainly two guys who should have been in any kind of hall of fame. But what did it mean? Nothing.”

And, he adds, it wouldn’t mean anything now.

“I told Vince McMahon to go (expletive deleted), and I wouldn’t change my mind now.”

Mulligan, one of Anderson’s old ring foes, called it a “travesty” that Ole wasn’t included.

“Ole was the mastermind of the whole deal. It’s always been Ole’s deal. It makes Vince’s Hall of Fame cheapened,” Mulligan told the Fight Sports Examiner. “Ole is so hard-headed, he’s not gonna listen. Ole and I have the unique ability to put our foot in our mouths. We just can’t shut up at times. We think we are too smart sometimes. But Ole had one of the greatest minds this business has ever seen. And he should be in the Hall of Fame with the Horsemen.”

Another former Horseman who didn’t make the cut, Lex Luger, told the Busted Open satellite radio show last week that he didn’t feel snubbed and that Windham, if not Ole, deserved to be among the group inducted.

“I think Barry Windham would be a splendid choice for getting inducted. What a great honor for him. I think it would be a great time in Barry’s life right now, from what I hear, for him to receive that. I’m going to be down in South Beach for Wrestlemania. I wouldn’t miss it. I will be in the audience cheering on the guys who gets selected as The Four Horsemen. I’m just thrilled that I was a part of it at all. I think Barry is a great pick.”

Luger certainly can relate to Windham’s health problems. In 2007 he suffered a spinal stroke that led to temporary paralysis.

His change in attitude reflects a sharp departure from the days Luger was known as “The Total Package,” an egotistical, narcissistic heel that mirrored his real-life persona. The current version of Lex Luger (Larry Pfohl), however, is a born-again Christian who eagerly shares what he calls “the confessions of a drug abuser” and rails against the dangers of drug abuse.

Ex-WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne, who is currently serving a 60-day suspension from the company for his second violation of the WWE Wellness Policy, may more than likely not be brought back to the company once his suspension is up, reports PWInsider.com, citing "a number of WWE sources," even though Bourne would be eligible to return to in-ring competition sometime in March.

While Bourne's first suspension was for the use of synthetic marijuana (a substance banned in WWE), these same sources state that his latest suspension is the result of something "completely unrelated" to the previous situation.

why is Eve cowering in the corner? (Well, I see Kane, so that answer is obvious, so let's go with "why in she there in the first place?")after the count-out, kane went backstage, found ryder in a wheelchair, and beat the hell out of him. kane rolled him out to the ring in his wheelchair, eve then came running out begging kane not to hurt ryder, to which kane responds by tombstoning him. kane turns toward eve, then cena comes running out to save her, and kane chokeslams cena. so i'm assuming the pic was taken at this point.

Slighty different. Trips ended the staredown with a pat on the back like he doesn't care.

It makes no sense at all IMO. Why would the Undertaker challenge Triple H to a match at WrestleMania when he's already beaten him twice?

Because Trips put him out of commission. He hasn't been back since Wrestlemania.

Like I said before, these two put on a HELL OF A MATCH that was ten times better than the first Wrestlemania they fought. If they put on that kind of performance again, I'm not going to mind the rematch.

- WWE's website posted the following stats from the 2012 Royal Rumble:

* Sheamus won in only his second Royal Rumble Match appearance. He is also the first Irish-born Royal Rumble Match winner.

* This is the second time a WWE Superstar has entered at No. 22 and won the Royal Rumble Match - Triple H did it back in 2002.

* Epico spent the shortest time of any Superstar in the 2012 Royal Rumble Match, lasting only :12.

* Lasting 45:39, The Miz spent the most time of any Superstar in the 2012 Royal Rumble Match - and 10 minutes longer than any Superstar who participated in 2011's contest.

* The Miz managed to last longer than all three of his former cohorts (Alex Riley, R-Truth, Big Show) combined.

* Cody Rhodes had the most eliminations with five, and also lasted more than 40 minutes.

* Big Show eliminated three men in a staggering 16 seconds (Cody Rhodes, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler). The World's Largest Athlete has now eliminated 28 competitors in Royal Rumble Match history.

* Randy Orton is now tied for the most final four appearances in Royal Rumble Match history with five (HBK, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Kane).

* Three participants didn't last even one minute in the Royal Rumble Match: Jerry Lawler, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Epico.

* Six more couldn't last two minutes: Alex Riley, Primo, Jinder Mahal, Michael Cole, Kharma and Big Show.

* Only six Superstars were able to last more than 10 minutes in the Royal Rumble Match: The Miz, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus and Chris Jericho.

* Booker T lasted the longest of the three announcers in the Royal Rumble Match. Second longest was Michael Cole, with Jerry Lawler third.

* Hunico lasted the longest of any Royal Rumble Match rookie at 9:01.

* Kharma was the third woman in Royal Rumble Match history.

Yeah surprises could have replaced them, or Brodus Clay. I actually don't mind Booker and Lawler, but Cole being in the Rumble was ridiculous til Kharma clocked him. On the other side, the WWE does have some injury problems with some stars i.e. Del Rio, Christian. Made no sense to have Taker to return at the Rumble. He may be completely done after this one.

East Rutherford, N.J.’s MetLife Stadium has played host to the NFL Playoffs, two NCAA college tournaments, five international team soccer games, and historic concerts from the likes of U2, The Eagles and Bon Jovi. And now, it’s getting its first WrestleMania.

For the first time, The Show of Shows is headed to New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Jets and the Super Bowl XLVI Champion New York Giants, will host WrestleMania XXIX on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

The traditional WrestleMania Week activities, including WrestleMania Axxess, the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and Monday Night Raw will take place across the New York/New Jersey area in the days leading up to the show.

An official press conference will be held tomorrow, Feb. 16, at 11:00 a.m. at MetLife Stadium, where WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon will be joined by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, New York Giants President & CEO John Mara, New York Jets Owner & CEO Woody Johnson, NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta and a host of WWE Superstars, including John Cena, Triple H and Sheamus to officially announce the event. There will also be a special appearance by John Cena’s WrestleMania XXVIII opponent, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The press conference is not open to the public, but WWE.com will be posting video and photo updates about the event throughout the day.

 Isn't it still cold in NY/NJ in early April?

WWE heavyweight champion CM Punk is lashing back at Chris Brown ... claiming the singer isn't just a liar ... but a total "coward" who never truly "paid" for what he did to Rihanna.

Punk released a video statement moments ago ... in response to Brown's allegations that he's a steroid-abuser with an inadequate penis.

In his video, Punk starts out by saying he's " a proud life long drug free straight edge individual" ... and then spends the next minute BLASTING Brown.

"Chris and I come from different worlds. I don't have an assistant. I don't have a body guard. I don't have a manager or a PR person telling me to delete tweets like Chris does, and I don't hit women. Period."

He adds, "[Chris] has made the wrong accusations to the wrong person because I can defend myself."

Punk then challenges Brown to a no-holds barred fight for charity ... and says, "I will choke you out and I will make you feel as weak and as powerless and scared and alone as any woman who has the misfortune of knowing a sad cowardly little boy such as yourself."

Your move, Chris.

John Cena Promos-2 Dwayne-0

Cena has owned him the last two weeks. Plus this

As seen on last night's RAW, John Cena pointed out that The Rock had notes written on his wrist for his promo. Several readers sent word that the following was written on Rock's wrist:

* 2 Reasons
* KRS to KPB
* Innovator-Camo
* Call out

JBHuskers
02-29-2012, 10:22 AM
Some think that the notes on the wrist were a work. Who knows. I love where this is going though.

Overall there are a lot of good builds to Wrestlemania between Rock/Cena, Y2J/Punk, D-Bryan/Sheamus they're actually doing something with tag teams, Big Show/Cody.

I hope that Ryder comes back and has a match with Kane, but my guess is they'll both be in MITB. I just would love to see Ryder get his first WM match.

So I have yet to watch Raw, but was unable to avoid the fact that Lesnar came back and of course I scrolled up too high on this thread to see why he came out. But I am surprised that Lesnar is going to be on TV A LOT in 2012, contract details below:

Brock Lesnar has signed a one-year contract with WWE. He has agreed to make a minimum of two appearances per month for the remainder of 2012, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com.

That's been going on for quite a while now. There was the infamous football game where they showed them in a luxury box and she was feeding him popcorn :D

:fp: It was announced during the Smackdown tapings yesterday in Orlando, Florida, that next Monday's RAW will have a guest host, or three to be exact.

Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, and Chris Diamantopoulos - the stars of the new Three Stooges movie - will be appearing on the show to promote their movie which comes out on Friday, April 13.

This will not be Will Sasso's first involvement with WWE as he appeared on RAW and Smackdown in the past and several Superstars appeared on his show MADtv as well in the early 2000.

For some reason I'm very amused that Lesnar's shirt (which I assume is NOT from WWE marketing) has a prominent Jimmy John's logo on the back.

Here's an old promo when he first started with FCW:

Hope this feud with Foley starts soon and ends up in Ambrose's debut being at Extreme Rules.
