As always, vote for the item you prefer. However, also state how you would like both features implemented into the game and indicate any specific elements you would (or would not) like to see added for each item.


Custom Conferences 2.0

One of the more-detailed and well-received features of NCAA Football 12 was the revamped Custom Conferences feature. As is the way with all video game features, there are more improvements and additions the community would like to see to further improve the feature.

Among the community requests:

Ability to go above 120 teams: The feature currently allows for reorganization, but not for the addition of programs. In real life, UMass, South Alabama, Texas State and UTSA will be joining the FBS ranks but they cannot currently be added without removing an existing program. Being able to add five to ten programs would allow for the “what if” scenarios featuring the aforementioned programs and others, such as Villanova, Georgetown and other TeamBuilder-created squads.
Dynamic Field Art: When selecting a (new) Conference Championship Game location, the existing field art is brought over. For example, moving or creating a CCG at the Holiday Bowl (Qualcomm Stadium) brings over the Holiday Bowl field art. This would see a conference specific field art for the game.
Dynamic Conference Uniform Logos: Currently, moving a team will change the conference logo on the field art, but not on team helmets and uniforms. This would either add in the new conference logo or remove the existing (and now out of date) logo.
Ability to rename, remove, edit entire conferences: While likely an aspect existing conference partners would not support, community members have frequently asked for the ability to rename, remove, or edit (IE: logo) conferences.
Dynamic Conference Prestige Recruit Pitch Rating in Dynasty Mode
Ability to edit conference tie-ins for all bowl games

Practice Mode 2.0

Practice Mode is an area where many NCAA Football gamers devote hours of time learning their team, finding the perfect playbook, and preparing for their next Dynasty game. While the dev team has added the ability to pick a random play from a certain formation and an indoor facility to the mode in recent years, the community has been clamoring for more. Among the features mentioned: full-fledged Scrimmage Mode (offense runs series against defense - or vice versa - with full rules in place), ability to set Situation), on-screen indication of play result (as on last gen indicating catch in-bounds, touchdown, etc.), ability to use TeamBuilder squads, option to change playbook at any time in the mode, ability to change “opponent’s” playbook (to gameplan against upcoming opponent), drills (Option, Oklahoma Drill, DB Drills, etc.), ability to select random play from ALL formations, passing skeleton, etc. An improved and in-depth Practice Mode would be an excellent way for both casual and hardcore players to work on and hone their skills.

Custom conferences just has far too much potential for this feature now to win this round.

Too much chaos going on with Conference Alignment right now to not vote for Custom Conferences (3.0).

Custom Conferences 2.0

It killed me to vote against my "pet feature" in Practice Mode 2.0--and I still maintain that Practice mode needs to be improved in NCAA Football in order for it to truly be worth a damn going forward--but the possibilities opened up through Custom Conferences 2.0 are too great to overlook or vote against in this match-up.

I will again state, however, that Custom Conferences should be applicable to the game globally--meaning not just in Dynasty or Online Dynasty--so that people who primarily engage in "Play Now" games can have the benefit of "correcting" conference moves in the game and seeing the in-game assets reflect those moves.
