As always, vote for the item you prefer. However, also state how you would like both features implemented into the game and indicate any specific elements you would (or would not) like to see added for each item.

TeamBuilder 2.0

A highly requested feature that was introduced in NCAA Football 10 was TeamBuilder. NCAA 11 saw small touch-ups to the feature, resulting in gamers clamoring for the next level of depth in the feature. Among the most requested improvements for TeamBuilder by the NCAA Football community: fully customizable roster (no template), the ability to set rivals, red turf (to properly create EWU), 3rd set of pants, have Team Entrance of stadium home team (or selectable), and 'old school' equipment to help create classic squads.

Online Roster Editor

With fans always debating the merits of the NCAA Football rosters out of the box, the community has asked for an online roster editing program. The program could either be a PC-based downloadable program or one on easports.com that would export the created file into a user’s EA Locker for download & sharing. The program would start with the base file from the game and allow users to edit everything that they can in-game – name, ht/wt, year, equipment, team, coaches, appearances, etc. plus team captains and Impact Players. Ideally, it would be released as soon as the game went into certification to help have files ready to go upon release.

Teambuilder 2.0 for sure
Even though I always make a team, I barely use only twice last 2 year. Needs big changes

both. :D

honestly, i havent even created a team on teambuilder 12 yet. it was awesome for 10 and 11, but since nothing was changed this past year, i didnt play around in it.

an online roster editor would be such an easy thing to do. it could work exactly like teambuilder, in terms of the edit player option, player ratings, etc. and we wouldnt have to wait 2 weeks for rosters to be released. lol

since i had to pick one though, i went with teambuilder 2.0

Online Roster Editor. It would make things so much simpler not only for the roster makers, but for those of us making our own changes.

Hands down... roster editor. Team builder was kind of neat in 10 but I haven't used it in dynasty mode since and have zero interest for next year.

I've never bothered with TeamBuilder. Roster editor should win.

Online Roster Editor

The faster we get names, the better.

Couldn't agree more.

Easily the choice here is Online Roster editor.

Teambuilder has been the same since it's been introduced. They need to upgrade it. Stadium editor and then allow teams in dynasty to upgrade their uniforms and stadium through this feature.

I would rather have an online roster editor. However, given the legal ramifications of such s feature I HIGHLY doubt EA is going to risk further litigation in this area and so I voted for a feature that actually has a chance of being implimented in the game.

Not to start a different discussion here but wouldn't it be better for EA to release a game with generic players and allow us to make roster changes as we would see fit?

Online roster editor......It will speed up the process typing stuff out on a PC then doing it with a freaking control pad.

For those who do or know who does rosters....they would completely appreciate how much of a time saver this would be.

In short, I don't think it would be better it would be the same or worse. #1 It wouldn't take a plaintiffs lawyer much creativity to think of all kinds of claims that could be made against EA for creating a product that allows others to violate the law (i.e. improper use of someone's likeness) and #2 more than likely the "likeness" issue would remain with a "generic" roster (unless you are indicating that ALL heights, weights, equipment, race, #, etc.... will all be WRONG out of the box). Moreover, I could see a ton of people being upset about being forced to use a "generic" roster in "random" online games.

I just don't see online roster editor being a BIG enough seller for EA to risk further/increased litigation in this area.

I agree that it would have to be completely generic maybe even all players a base size per position. Then just make the ratings generic as well. At that point the online roster editor would have to be transparent and able to be used online or it's just a mute point like you mentioned.

I guess I'm assuming a lot by going with this pick in hopes that it would all be able to be implemented correctly. The hard part would be online but maybe a community part online that would break down what rosters would be used or something along those lines. Like a ranking of favorite rosters online and the home team can choose from the top 5 or 10 per ranking. Once again though this is way to much rambling for my thoughts and typing on my phone I'm sure there are lots of errors that I left out or misspoke in certain areas.

Also your probably right about the eye candy CLW on what would appeal more to the general public and that would be teambuilder.

Online Roster Editor

TeamBuilder needs some help to beef things up and get its usage up, but for me it has the misfortune of being up against something which would be embraced thoroughly by both the general NCAA Football community and by me as a gamer; an Online Roster Editor. I certainly wouldn't miss the weeks of people complaining about rosters not being done yet when the game has just come out.

TeamBuilder 2.0BAH! I knew I forgot something to suggest. In NCAA 11 (and I assume on NCAA 12 though I didn't check it), the roster's Redshirt status was set at random on download. So even two consecutive downloads of the same roster would get different results, as far as redshirt status and the like is concerned. That was a huge disappointment to me. I'd like to see either: A) The ability to set specific redshirt status on a Teambuilder roster, with the addition of a "Random Redshirt" button (like the current "Random Name") or B) the ability to edit a Teambuilder roster before starting a Dynasty. The latter would be useful anyway, but even more useful for fixing redshirt years.

Both are needed.

Some basic items people have asked for in TB since inception have yet to be added, which can be very frustrating to those who enjoy the mode.

Personally, I voted for an Online Editor. I'm not sure if it is even possible, but if it provided all options from the console (and perhaps more) I think a lot of people would get some use out of it.

Online Roster Editor for the win! I promise I was just thinking that they should have it all set up online so that everything would be much smoother soon as the game releases. I'd be geeked if that featured made it in!

Absolutely JB. This would be great. It would be soooo much easier to type the names in on a computer as opposed to an xbox or ps3.

not sure if you knew this, but if your computer keyboard is attached to the tower via usb port, you can plug your keyboard into your xbox and use it to imput names. still though, an online roster editor would drastically cut down the time to get rosters out

LOL, clearly didn't know that. I haven't used a desktop in years, so I never gave it a thought actually. Thanks for informing me though.
