Ok, so USF comes to town, and hands MTSU their first lose of the season. It started from the opening kickoff. MTSU just couldn;t get anything going with any kind of consistency. They were able to put points on the board, but at the end of the day, it wasnt enough. USF was able to get just enough points to win the game.

Coach Willard said that he wasn't happy the way his offense played. We will definately have to be better the rest of the way. Good news is that the Blue Raiders get Arkansas State next, so hopefully the Blue Raiders can get back on track.

UCLA wins 17-7 vs the Tulane Green Wave. Jorgensen's old Green wave defense tried their hardest to keep with UCLA, but UCLA wins the defensive battle in what should have been a blow out game.

These ain't your commish's Owls.

No interceptions, no sacks, and no win. Baylor goes to Houston and roast the Rice Owls 69-36. Senior QB Nick Florence had 707 yards of passing and 6 TDs. The big surprise was the home run power from Baylor. WR Darius Jones scored on passes of 56, 81, and 92 yards. Shawn Rodriguez had an 81 yard TD catch and Tevin Reese had one for 64. Even the Baylor D added a 41 yard TAINT by Tyler Stephenson.

Rice stayed int he game by exploiting our weak underbelly which is the run defense. With Senior DE Tevin Elliott still sidelined by a broken tailbone, the Owls rolled for 160 yards rushing. Ashton Stephenson had 101 and 3 TDs on his own. The Rice D was stout against the run, though. That's something that did carry over from the last regime.

Baylor now gets a bye week to prepare to host the Western KY Jellystoners in week 7. We are ready to advance.
