I should have thought of ths weeks ago -
Backup QB Bryce Perry gets his second road start in a row, this time against the 5-3 Iowa State Cyclones. After a punt, ISU takes all of one play to go 59 yards through the air for a 7-0 lead. Perry then got us in position for a field goal. The D got hard and make the sledding tough for the Cyclones. Perry then mixed the short ground game of Jarred Salubi and some smart passing to make back to back TD drives. Perry's highlight was a 41 yard TD pass to the right corner of the end zone. Baylor lead 17-7 at the half.
Salubi pounded the rock, Perry didn't throw an INT, and the D played fast and angry. Salubi would rush for 98 yards, score three TDs and Perry ended 14-24 with 298 and a TD. The young QB played conservative and earned the victory. Baylor wins 31-16 and returns home to face Kansas State and then Kansas.
Sidebar - I'm watching the Baylor/Kansas State game on TV and it's a fun one. RG3 is insanely accurate in real life. He has more TDs than incomplete passes. Are you kidding me? And he can scramble. too. I can't imagine what its like to play with a guy like that. My RG3 is like running Vinny Testaverde with a sore foot.

I had to read your post, because it mentions one of my favorite beers. Well, my top two are free and cold, so I'll assume yours was one of those....

I planned on playing my game this evening but my wife wanted to watch her recorded shows we have on the DVR. I can play my game in the morning (monday morning). I don't think I can get it in before 7am though, can we wait a few hours, maybe by 9am ?
EDIT:
Good news I was able to get my game in tonight.
That was one of the closest games I've played in a while. USM travels to #18 UCF. I was doing ok in the 1st quarter I score 10 points to their 14. Then they knocked my 2nd string QB out for the game with bruised ribs, the one that I had promoted to starter since my original starter couldn't complete a pass....well then the wheels feel off.....my crappy QB throws a duck and UCF takes it to the house for a pick 6. UCF was up 24-10 at the half.
My defense saved my butt. They kept the CPU scoreless in the 2nd half. I came back but no thanks to my kicker. 2 times I drove the field, put the ball inside the 10 yard line and centered on the uprights, but he missed both in the 3rd quarter. One drive was a nice 13 play drive.
Start of the 4th quarter we're still down 24-10. 2nd string backup still in there, however the UCF defense decided they wanted to make it harder on me, they knocked out 1 of my WR for 3 weeks and my HB for 2 quarters. I was already on my backup RB due to a prior injury for the stater. Those Knights are some mean bastards! :deadhorse:
Well we didn't give up and thanks to the Defense who kept UCF off the board. I scored a TD, then got the ball back (thanks again to the D) and we drove the field and scored making it 24-24 leaving 1:04 on the clock. Then the D again stopped UCF and we got the ball back with 32 seconds. We drove the field and my WR drops a wide open go ahead TD.
OT, Defense hold UCF to a FG, we get the ball and drive down the field. 3rd string RB takes the hand off and scores the game winning TD.
USM knocks off #18 UCF 30-27 in OT.
USM ready to advance!
I tell ya, after another heart breaking loss for my Aggies, I felt good with this win. I've been bummed out all weekend and when I scored to take it to OT I actually said YES! outload LOL. Then when I won in OT I was like, hmmm well that sure is nice.
