I was wondering if it would be possible to make a request to hold off on advancing the OD until the come out with this new patch that HOPEFULLY fixes the no-huddle issue?

I hate playing this game now. When I play vs the CPU in any of my games online of offline dynasty I HATE that I have to use my Timeouts on Defense just to be able to pick a freaking play! This is STUPID.

I'm finally feeling like I'm getting to where I know what formations or calls to pick versus certain offensive looks/personell and now I'm stuck with 1 formation and only a handful of plays to pick from. I hate that I come out in 3-3-5 normal to stop them on a 2 yard run, then they come out in 4 wide and I'm stuck in 3-3-5 normal then it just picks me apart. IF I could pick I would go to nickel or dime not get stuck in the 3-3-5.

If I come out in the nickel or dime it just runs the ball on me.

IT IS STUPID.

If we can't wait until the patch I'm thinking I'm going to put mine on autopilot. I hate not being able to play.

Actually, you can change formations, you're just stuck with the first set of each formation. So you can pick 3-3-5 Stack, Nickel Normal, Dime - Normal, etc. It's the first set that's listed in each formation grouping. You just have to keep scrolling until you get to the next set. If you have four 3-3-5 sets, then you just have to scroll past those four before you get to your Nickel (or whatever next formation grouping you have). Hope that makes sense.

As far as the patch, it's going to be likely another 10 days or more before we see the next patch. On 9/26, Dewiel posted that it was submitted to Sony & Microsoft. Once they have it, it generally takes about two weeks to clear their certification before it's released to the public. Unless everyone wants to wait, I'm not in favor of putting the OD on hold for that long. I know it's frustrating but there are ways around it. When facing a no-huddle opponent, I just always make sure that the formation/set I'm calling can translate well enough to the top of a formation grouping to at least match their personnel.

All that said, 3-3-5 Stack can certainly handle both the run & the pass. I lived by the 3-3-5 for the entire NCAA11 year and rarely called a Dime or Nickel formation; it's all in the playcalling to determine what your defense's focus will be.

The only problem I am having is the fact that IMO, Madden plays much better than NCAA so it is tough to play now.

Couldn't agree more.

I've always been a NCAA guy but this years Madden is very good. It doesn't have any of these issues that NCAA has. My problem is I like NCAA in real life better so I have a hard time getting into Madden, I don't really have a favorite NFL team. I enjoy watching all NFL games but I'm not a psycho fan of any team like I am my Fightin' Texas Aggies...then again maybe that's a good thing. Watching my Aggies lose 2 weeks in a row like that isn't healthy.

One of my big pet peeves is that Madden doesn't have the gameplan stuff that NCAA does. I'm sure NCAA will hopefully come out with a patch to fix the no-huddle issue, but I doubt they will mess w/ the gameplan stuff any.

I don't like that the other person can put their gameplan on PASS Aggressive and all of a sudden their DBs are like NFL all pro WRs. They make my starting WRs look like pee-wee league kids. I like the idea of being able to use a gameplan but when it's so overpowering it's silly. I can put my catching and route running on conservative but it doesn't compensate for the psycho DBs in my opinion.

I also don't like how the D can put the STRIP aggressive and if they don't strip the ball they still hold/tackle the ball carrier. It seems like if you miss the strip you should also miss the tackle. I can put my running on conservative so they hopefully has less fumbles but still they should be able to break those misses strip/tackles. It just seems to be too over powering.

I like that in Madden it comes down to my call versus the other teams. Then how I execute it. I feel like I should be able to run a run play and in Madden I can. If in NCAA the other team run commits you basically are screwed. It shouldn't be that over powering. If I run a goalline dive it's not a 100% huge gain up the middle, nor should it be. However a run commit middle against a goalline dive is 100% a stop, that's not realistic.

So for now I'm playing in my ODs that I'm only an OC. That way I don't have to mess w/ the no-huddle CPU issue. Otherwise I'm playing Madden until EA gives us a fix for this no-huddle silliness.

G - I don't think this is true. Yes you can scroll and pick a different formation but if you notice when you come out and line up you're still in that formation you were on the last play. I actually haven't run into a no-huddle opponent in awhile but when the patch first dropped I'm pretty sure this is what I saw.

Regardless though, yes it's a pain in the ass, but it really doesn't change too much. If they come out 4 wide and I'm in Dime and they go no huddle I still want to be in dime.

You're mistaken E... If you call Shotgun - Y-Trips and then run huddle, unless Y-Trips is your only Shotgun formation, you won't be able to actually pick from Y-Trips, instead you'll be able to pick from Shotgun - Ace (or whatever your first formation is in Shotgun). You can however scroll around until you get out of the Shotguns and then have the first Pistol set to pick from, keep scrolling and you'll get the first I-Form, and so on.

Same applies to defense... if you call 3-2-6 Dime, you won't be able to call plays from that. Instead you'll get Dime Normal or Nickel Normal and so on.
