WEEK 10
Houston travels to USM and we have a shoot out.
I had to pull my starting QB. I've given him a few weeks now and each game I end up putting my backup in b/c he can actually complete short quick passes.
Well this week was like the others, I pulled the starter and didn't look back.
The wild thing is next I need a kicker. I drove the field in with 30seconds to go in the 2nd quarter and called a time out with :02 seconds left putting the ball in the middle of the field on the 2 yard line. Then the CPU took over on 4th down and it MISSED the FG.
Later in the 3rd quarter I was driving but came up with a 4th and 2 from my 34. The CPU didn't take over on 4th down so I figured what the heck I'll kick the FG, play it smart and take the points. Well I kicked it full power and even took the loft off the kick but my kicker can't make a 41 yard kick, it came up about 5 yards short. :bang:
Then we go into shoot out mode. I scored late in the 4th to take the lead 28-24. I left 1:03 on the clock. The cpu scored making it 28-31 CPU winning and they left me :23 in the 4th. I threw 2 deep passes and got the ball down to the 1 yard line with :02 seconds left. Was able to run in w/ my FB as time expired to win 35-31.
USM is done with recruiting and game for week 10. Ready to advance
Great recovery, Gus. I hope your boys got their calls done. How does your recruiting board look? Was there progress made?

JOHN LEE HOOKER! GOOD MAN! NICE CHOICE!
Recruiting is looking good. Hopefully I'll get a QB, I have a few on the radar. O-line could use a little help too. Other than that things are looking a little better as USM.
Welcome to the new OC at the Mean Green!

GLENNON GOES DOWN AND SO DOES THE PACK!!
NC State entered thier match up this week against Clemson with high hopes of finishing the season with only the early loss to BYU. Unfortunately Clemson had thier own idea of how the game would play out. Mike Glennon was knocked out in the first quarter, a State win at that point would have been a miracle. The Wolfpack fought hard using a 2 QB system the rest of the game, 1 that could complete a pass and one that could out run the Clemson speed rush. (I'm not sure how many times I got sacked, I guess 10...) With about a minute left in the 4th quarter, State down by 3 gets in field goal range. After 3 staight incomplete passes the FG kicker steps in for about a 35 yarder and misses it!! A heart breaker for the Pack as they lose to rival Clemson. State hopes to get Glennon back next week as this loss is just a hiccup in thier quest to win the ACC and make a BCS bowl game.

It was the return of Robert Griffin III in Waco, as the Baylor Bears hosted the Texas A&M Aggies. RG3 got all the way hot in this one, finally. He had 472 yards passing and 4 TDs. With the score tied 31-31, and about 3:50 left to play, Baylor gets the ball deep in their territory. The new RG3 gave way to the old one, as he rolled right looked to the sideline, and lost a long lob deep to center field. Of course it was picked because their weren't any Bears within 10 yards.
So the Aggies pound in the score, 38-31. One more chance to be a hometown hero is thrown away. A&M kneels it out and leaves Waco with the W. At 2-5, it is safe to say Baylor will not be bowling this year. Damn those Aggies.
And this may explain the recent downturn on defense for Baylor. Def Captain and MLB Chris McAllister has been out for the last two games, and will miss the next four. In the four games McAllister played, no team score more than 24 points and that included #7 Texas. Since losing him, opponents have scored 34, 45, and 38. Add in the lack of turnovers for Baylor's D, and it is apparent how much he means to that squad.

Tulsa Keeps their streak alive as they hold on against the pass happy Mustangs of SMU, The Golden Hurricane Defense racked up 10 sacks to help secure the win.
Also sorry for the quick advance and the A&M loss Gig, hopefully you didn't have visits that week, But here is a random A&M highlight to make it better

I really hope Nebraska's first test versus Wisconsin goes well, will probably need Martinez to throw better than a high school QB to win that one.

Week 11
UAB travels to USM and once again we have a down pour. Seems like a lot of rainy games.
I was handicapped from the start, my 3 year old was jumping on me and while I was trying to select my PB at the setup screen he hit my hand, I ended up getting Boston's PB. I wasn't sure what to expect after that.
I put my backup QB after the first series, then I ended up unlocking a trophy "a star is born" for being a rival team with my backup QB and a min of 15 attempts.
Looks like we have a new starter
USM is done with week 11, ready to advance.
