You could call it that. I try to sneak my week in quickly today while my daughter had a friend over, and my wife took the dog for a long walk. Over kids begat more kids in the yard, and the wife comes back early. This took hours.

EA doesn't like to wait and the Red Raiders unleashed some whoop ass on us like no one before. Baylor gives up 45 ugly points and only can manage 10. How much does EA hate to wait? Well, Tech called off the dogs and brought in the back up when they got a 35-3 lead. The backup goes 11-20, for 164 and a TD in mop up duty. They just put the boots to us.

The other thing EA hates is SIM work. Of course it's ok when we have to sit through the other side of the ball being simmed, but when it's over and I simmed out the last few minutes (to prevent holy hell from being unleashed by Mrs. Frosty) I got a -70 in sportsmanship. What? I tapped out. Were they sad I didn't serve up INTs and fumbles?

The game turned in the first quarter. Baylro received and had a 5 minute drive stall inside the red zone. Our kicker missed a 25 yard kick and I could have hit R1 to end it there. We never recovered. While we could move the ball that first drive, there was no luck afterwards. R. Griffin must be lactose intolerant because he was woeful again. He finished 12-34, and the 55% contract requirement is in serious jeopardy. I may just run 40 stick plays next week to pad his ratio.

Obviously, I underestimated the other talent in the Big XII. We should have beaten Texas but played too conservative. The season went in the toilet after that. Okie State and Texas Tech just ran us off the field. I dread facing Oklahoma, too.

At least Vegas had a great way to forget the games. Here I'm faced with talking to another member of the closet whore alumni society.

I had a bye week but I still had recruiting to do. I log on today and we are in week 10. But today is Sept 25, so I didn't even get until the 26th to do my recruiting.

Are we just going as fast as possible and if you don't get your recruiting done then oh well?

It's only a video game, I'm sure I'm still just feeling the headache of our loss to OSU yesterday. I have no freaking clue what happened. We were up 21-3 in the 1st half, then all hell broke loose and our team seemed like they just quit. The defense was on the field the entire 3rd quarter which is strange b/c in the 1st half we could shut them down. Then when our offense would get on the field it was either a fumble or INT and the def was right back on the field.

besides the late TD and the safety we were shut out in the 2nd half, that is not a sign of good coaching on our half. It's like OSU made a butt load of adjustements and we made zero.

Sorry for taking it out on you sir, this is just a video game and I think my attachement to my Fightin' TEXAS AGGIES just isn't healthy. I get all nervous before games, I get all excited when we are doing well and then....when shit like yesterday's 2nd half happens I feel like I was in a bomb shelter and my ears are still ringing! All I could say was what the heck is going on?

I went from thinking, MAN we could beat the #7 team, and beat them BAD I was thinking something like 42-6....this was when it was 21-3...then the 2nd half happened and it was like, GEEZ MAN where did our team go?

The annoying thing is my wife and I both went and graduated from A&M, so we are like in some drug addict withdrawl state after we lose. We are pissed off at the worl and it's just not fun....it's like pulling for YOUR TEAM isn't healthy.

I'll get my recruiting done for week 10 and play my game asap. Not sure how long we have until the next advance but I will get it in as soon as possible. Sorry for jumping in here and complaining about week 9 stuff, I'm sure I was taking some my Aggies let-down out here. Now worries, it's just a video game, I need to make sure it stays fun.

My question is, does anyone know if it did the recruiting for me? I have recruiting assitance turned OFF but I'm wondering if that's only for scholarship and visist assistance? I'm hoping the CPU atleast called my recruits in week 9? Does anyone know?

WEEK 10

Houston travels to USM and we have a shoot out.

I had to pull my starting QB. I've given him a few weeks now and each game I end up putting my backup in b/c he can actually complete short quick passes.

Well this week was like the others, I pulled the starter and didn't look back.

The wild thing is next I need a kicker. I drove the field in with 30seconds to go in the 2nd quarter and called a time out with :02 seconds left putting the ball in the middle of the field on the 2 yard line. Then the CPU took over on 4th down and it MISSED the FG.

Later in the 3rd quarter I was driving but came up with a 4th and 2 from my 34. The CPU didn't take over on 4th down so I figured what the heck I'll kick the FG, play it smart and take the points. Well I kicked it full power and even took the loft off the kick but my kicker can't make a 41 yard kick, it came up about 5 yards short. :bang:

Then we go into shoot out mode. I scored late in the 4th to take the lead 28-24. I left 1:03 on the clock. The cpu scored making it 28-31 CPU winning and they left me :23 in the 4th. I threw 2 deep passes and got the ball down to the 1 yard line with :02 seconds left. Was able to run in w/ my FB as time expired to win 35-31. :drool:

USM is done with recruiting and game for week 10. Ready to advance :nod:

Gus - there's no need to apologize. We fucked up and moved it faster than announced. I'm glad you're not really pissed, though. I wondered how you were handling that game as I watched the score change. I know Texas football is a world different from anything I know in New England. And that fact that your wife is just as hardcore as you is pretty damn cool in my book, until you have a heart ripping loss and no one is getting happy time for a while.
