We should try to recruit some new blood

Yeah. I'm sure CLW is working on it. I just troll in this forum. My buddies are all offliners now since they have no time. I'm surprised the other guys stopped posting. I'm looking forward to facing Gigem, hopefully not the autopilot.

I have a buddy that just bought the game that would want to join

Nice. If he's a straight player, then I'm sure CLW would let him in. We have the room.

Sent out a PM to Gigem. I can play tonight after 9:30 pm, or maybe tomorrow morning after 8:30 or later tomorrow night. Unless we go auto pilot and then i'll just ball. ASAP...

Yeah I am going to get a list of the current AWOL members and post a "fair warning" that they will be removed if their inactivity continues. Unfortunately, I've been very busy and its been hard to keep track of such things.

If you know a guy that would want to join us feel free to let them know we have openings. Ideally, they would also have to start at the bottom as a 1 star OC/DC but I am open to suggestions if people believe that is unfair.

We had that list of 20 teams from day 1. Aside from Rice, they are all technically open right now. Let the new guys choose from that list, including the teams from the guys who get axed.

Toledo - 7, Boise State 0

I'm smelling some CLW cheddar being cooked up in the MACk.

EDIT: Ugh...on second thought, not so much.

Oh EA, what are you doing to me?

For the first time since the 2009 GBN, when John Lee Hooker carried my Fresno State Bulldogs to a #2 finish, have I been graced with a 99 OVR. Robert Griffin III is that player. Naturally, the idea of using his talents is why I came to Waco. He has 85 SPD, 99 ACC, 99 AGI, 93 ELU, 87 BTK, 89 SPIN and 89 JUK, so he should be mobile and elusive. He has 92 THP and 93 THA, so he should have solid value as a passer. He has 93 AWR and is a RS Senior, so he should have experience and patience. He's every coach's dream.

Except as a runner he's more like Dan Marino in shoes that are too tight, and as a passer he's more like Tim Tebow throwing righty. He can't avoid a sack and he has trouble hitting the open man. It's driving me nuts. When he rolls out, his throws are goofy. When he sets his feet, his motion is slower than Byron Leftwich after two bottles of NyQuil.

So anyway, Baylor travels to Hattiesburg, MS to Gigem's Golden Eagles. The first half is a defensive wet dream. 3-0 USM as neither team can move the ball. Gig got two nice INTs to kill my drives.

In the third QTR my defense fell asleep or turned into zombies. I swear there were a coule of plays when my DBs just didn't move. They stayed in their crouches as the play just went merrily around them. Now it's 17-0 and it really looks bad. Baylor's entire gameplan was unravelling. They couldn't run, they couldn't throw, and now the defense couldn't stop a nose bleed.

In the fourth, things got interesting. Baylor punched in a rushing TD as RG3 seemed to wake up from his cranial paralysis. After a fumble recovery, Baylor sold out on 4th down and scored on a 51 yard pass play. The Eagles were bringing the house, and I found someone wide open. The Bears force a punt, but RG3 air mails his 5th pick to USM. And he missed by a lot...So that's 5 completions to USM and 9 to his teammates, out of 24 attempts. The Eagles add another score for good measure and this one ends painlessly, 24-14.

What really screwed me up more than my own ineptness, was getting the shaft in my custom playbook. I know it's happened to a lot of folks, but I lost formations and plays when the game started. Of course, the formation that had only one play was the formation I use the most. I tried to formation-audible but that only triggered a play flip. Thanks again EA. I should have known something was wrong when neither one of us could play the game because the error message said both of us are on autopilot, when neither one was. I had to set us both to autopilot, and then remove us both, in order to get to kickoff.

So after the game, both coaches were wheeled out to the middle by their nurses and enjoyed a cup of pudding. They would be told the score later, when their was more time. The nurses had to make sure the coaches got back to the home in time for Wheel Of Fortune.

Congrats, birthday boy! Let me know when you want to go again.

Commish suffers from the new no huddle defensive glitch as the Hoosiers escaped Houston with a 13 point victory. Rice falls for the first time this season and Coach Wyatt has gotta be wondering when the 3rd patch will fix the no huddle mess and of course screw something else up.

RGIII made it to THE ROCK (Roberts Stadium) and doesn't fair so well.

I was worried he was going to go super man on me, but I think EA didn't do him justice. Like Grandpa has already pointed out, he wasn't able to do much with him. When he have an open running lane and took it, the defense was able to limit him to moderate gains, I was worried he would be much faster.

When he threw to wide open receivers he would be off the mark. In fact one pass, I'm not sure if you press the throw away button or of he actually threw it that far out of bounds...it wasn't good. In real life RGIII can complete passes.

I was able to get some good pressure on him and was able to get some timely sacks. The ints helped me too.

The first half was awesome! back and forth, I forced a punt right before 1/2 time and then took a knee with :03 left to just take it to the locker room. 1st half ended Eagles up 3-0.

I was able to work some option runs in the 2nd half and get up 17-0, some pics on defense kept RGIII off the field. Then like he said, he came back, made it 17-14 at one point, then I was able to get a few more scores and hold off the bears for the Eagles first win of the season.

I was nice not playing at top #15 team. I'm all for custom schedules and all for not playing FCS teams, but those other teams i.e. Bama, Neb, they are just too good, I felt like THEIR FCS team.

USM vs Baylor it felt even, his team nor my team was 10x faster than the other like I saw when I was playing vs Bama.

I think in the end he let me have a W for my birthday so thank you sir.

With this we leave you with a snap-shot from one of the BIG HIT sacks we delivered to RGIII, welcome to Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

That's another one of his beauties! No, he was in the pocket and the receiver broke on the comeback. I hit the X button, yoikes...and away. All I could say was - uh, little help!

And I hope the dog peed on your birthday cake.

LOL I heard you! I also thanked your HB for stepping out of bounds on his spin move on the screen pass for a 2 yard loss. I got lucky on that one, "scholarship assistance" is on it's way to him ;)

Thankfully that play wasn't critical. Since it was only 3rd and 15 from my 25. It wouldn't have been fair, since the closest lineman got blocked down and the DB 10 yards away dove to the ground. I guess the HB was lonely since there was no one else on that half of the field. Why else would he head to the bench....Is it next week yet?

Looks like only Shards. At least I don't think Wyoming in on auto pilot.

Yeah Shards remains.

Tomorrow morning I will post those who if they remain inactive will be removed. At that point, I'll post here at TGT re: our openings. Hopefully, we can get a good bunch but if not we will just keep trucking along with those who enjoy our format.
