Season 1 - Conference Championship Week

Austin is on auto-pilot with him being on vacation so I believe I'm the only one having a game this week as I backed into the MAC title game with C Mich losing their final game to give me the spot.
I should get that game played tonight, a rematch against MIA OH and then I'll advance us to the next step.

looks like the EA OD site and everything else is all jacked up. Keep getting an error when trying to log into EA's site, and got the dreaded transfer fail with another league. Unreal.

Well guys, I just witnessed what Smooth and natcret have been talking about for awhile.
The Heisman psychic playcalling and other assorted BS was on display in this one against MIA OH, ranked #2 in the country and now playing for the national championship game where they will get thrashed by Oregon.
Let me count the ways in which I got jobbed, boned and just plain screwed.
I've played this team before mind you so I knew what to expect, but little did I know what I had waiting for me, a no win situation.

I knew they had a very good RB who had a very good game against me last time. So this time I set both tackling gameplanning options to conservative so as not to allow him extra yardage from broken tackles. Well at least I thought so. He proceeds to break tackle after tackle, runs like Jim F***ING Brown and amasses almost 200 yards rushing.
All game long they were killing me right up the middle even when I pinched my DL in and then slanted them in as well. Except for two occasions in very important situations where I just knew they were coming right at me inside again so I pinch, slant, blitz, everything but the kitchen sink inside to stop it......But guess what, they knew what I was doing so those two times and only those two times they ran pitch sweeps to the outside and were of course untouched both times. Now normally I'd just chalk it up to breaking tendencies and good play calling...IF...they had run similar plays AT ALL but nope. The CPU knew what I was doing and ran the perfect call against it. This seemed to happen several times in this game for some reason but those were the two majorly obvious ones. This doesn't happen all the time and hell maybe not even in every game but in this one it happened early and often.
Despite all the BS I somehow put together a late drive and with less than a minute to go had first and goal at the 1 yard line, down by 3. But clearly I didn't score a TD to win, I had to settle for a FG because the three plays I ran were totally and completely stuffed even though I tried to pull the same BS they did against me and ran outside to no avail. So FG and OT.
My stud QB Carder had played pretty damn well all game long but I got the ball first and shortly there after he makes a horrible throw into double coverage and an INT. Now I figure it's over so as a desperate last ditch effort I put all my defensive gameplanning stuff to aggressive and luckily I was able to stand up their RB just before they scored and the 2nd or 3rd guy game in and ripped it out and I got it.
So at this point I figure maybe just maybe i still got a shot. Then they rip through me like a hot knife through butter and score a TD easily. I get the ball and call a run, they come out balls out to stop my run so I quick audible to a deep pass as it looks like they are blitzing. I've got two WRs on the left with just one CB and one deep S playing centerfield. I snap the ball and watch that deep S take a hard couple steps away from the two WR side. So I'm thinking I got an easy TD here. The outside WR runs a hook and the CB stays with him so the inside WR running a streak is WIDE OPEN, but then as my QB throws the ball that deep S slams the breaks, reversed field and puts on the jets to get to my WIDE OPEN WR just in the nick of time to superman jump in front of my WR for the INT and the win.

So based on what Smooth and natcret have said previously and now with all this happening I'm starting to believe that Heisman just seems to do whatever it takes to win at times and doesn't play fair so needless to say I'll be exhausting all my time and efforts into researching, discovering and testing our next slider set for season 2 and that'll most certainly be on All-American.

So anyway, now on to the bowl games for 3 teams, unfortunately one of them is Austin who is on vacation so we'll be waiting for him, if it was anything but a bowl game I probably wouldn't but I can't deny him the chance to play his bowl game.

Sucks to hear that coach. :-(.

As for me, #1 attempt at my bowl game the game froze in the 2nd quarter. 2nd attempt resulted in a 27-26 loss, but am getting transfer failed. Really don't want to play against the triple option again... So annoying to defend. :-(
