How are we going to handle the coaching carousel?

I have no idea how that's going to go in an OD but a few things I think are going to come up that will need to be discussed.


What happens if we get fired?
- I think it's a good bet that someone gets fired so the way I see it we have two options.
-- Probably only get a coordinator offer but I really don't think anyone wants to be a coordinator and have to watch the other side of the ball make you crazy.
-- So I think the best option here is maybe to retire and have a rule that you must take a new HC job at a lower ranked, same start school as the one you just got fired from.
What happens if we get offered another job?
- Again not sure we want to be taking a coordinator job so maybe we just have to wait for that better HC job offer. I personally will not be taking a coordinator job even if I get an amazing offer from one of the best schools in the game. I want to be the HC and not have to watch the other side of the ball give it up like a whore on prom night.

I don't have a problem going the coordinator route.
There are examples each way of how head coaches got to where they were:
-They started as a head coach and kept moving up through schools as head coaches
-They were coordinators that kept working up through schools that way until they got a head coaching gig somewhere

Oh yeah I understand that certainly I just want to give guys the option at least and if someone gets canned but doesn't want an OC or DC job we have another means of getting then back in the fold as an HC.

Yeah, no worries about that if they want to go that retire/new team route.

I'd say let each user take their own route in moving up jobs, in terms of letting them choose a coordinator spot or HC spot.

Do we want to make a mandatory "everyone on and maybe even with a mic" coaching carosel? Plus, I don't think it works the same in multiple person OD. Time to start looking at schools whose coaches/coordinators are on the edge.

No idea, I hate to try to get everyone together at the same time, that's always tough.
Hopefully someone with some knowledge of how OD CC goes can give us some insight.

Yeah, I work some very messed up hours, plus probably by the time we'd get to coaching carousel, high school football starts up next Thursday for me, which means Thursday, Friday and Saturday come next week will completely disappear from my availability for anything from next through clear through March. Trying to get us all on probably wouldn't work.

Also, my controller currently has a loose connection in the plug for the headset, so I really don't use a mic at all anymore for the time being, because even the slightest bump or movement, and the mic completely cuts out and I have to keep unplugging it and plugging it in to get it working again. Overall, just a pain in the ass, so I just completely avoid using it right now.

Boring. :D Basically, one user goes "on the clock" then every job they are being offered is listed to be either accepted or declined. However, you can only see three jobs at a time (the one you just turned down, the one you're right now being offered, the next one you'll be offered), so you still don't know if that "dream job" might come up later or if you turned down the best job early on. Every job that shows up, you're guaranteed an offer. All the job changes to other teams take place behind the scenes, nothing like offline dynasty CC. It's literally just accepting or declining a bunch of job offers.

Then, I assume since I don't know for sure, once you accept an offer, or decline all offers that were extended to you, whichever user the game has next in line for CC, they go on the clock to go through CC.

Carousel is still the same I think other than you don't get to see the roulette thing I believe.

Alrighty, we'll find out soon enough and when the time comes we'll get it figured out but I'd say we have those options...take an OC, DC, HC job if you want or if you get canned you can retire and come back in as an HC of another lower rated, same star school as you were previously.
