...a desperately needed bye week. Scored a 4-star O-lineman.

Bowling Green bore the brunt of my frustration after EA screwed me out of a win and possible recruits this last week. BG's defense is terrible, particularly their CB's. Keith wnet off for nearly 300yds and 4 TD's, of which 150/3 went to WR Goode. Another 100yds on the ground amd 2 TD's by HB Terry amd we sewed up this Rivalry win amd hopefully another signing or two.

Nice revenge game dude! Remember to constantly update with the right trigger button/moving in and out of recruiting and dynasty home. So your game locks in.

Played and ready to go. That's it, I'm saying to hell with the run. I had a grand total of -5 yards rushing at halftime. From now I'm going shotgun and passing like hell, like I did today.

Your top 2 runners averaged 4.26 per carry collectively for the game Smooth...
Clearly your passing game was very good though so why not pass always I guess.
I've found that you have to just continue to pound away like a heavyweight fight and in the 2nd half you'll start to wear down the other team and get some good runs and maybe even break one.
I don't see anything in the rushing stats really to say that it's a slider issue though that effects us all.

Looks like I might be the last one needing to play his game so I'll get that done tonight and advance right after.
I should be able to get started on the game around 8 Central.

Well, they got those high per carry averages because I finally was able to run the ball (breaking some good 5-15 yard gains), and did so exclusively, in my final offensive drive, as I drove the ball from my 20 down to the Troy 8 yard line and killing off the final 4:30 minutes of the game with Chew Clock. I was in negative yards for most of the game though. I had less than 10 rushing attempts for the entire game until the 4th quarter.

And my HB actually did break one in the 4th quarter. Caught the outside corner and ran it 70 yards down inside the Troy 10 yard line before being tackled from behind. Of course, because this stupid game just LOVES to screw you over when you make a big play, we got called for holding. :fp:

Watched that catch in the end zone Smooth... frickin sweet!

LOL, yeah, my squad got busted on no less than 2 big 3rd conversions and a short TD because of that. The short TD ended up being a FG, which was a big loss.

However, UNT pulled out another win with another huge day yardage-wise through the air for QB Dodge. He's pretty good most of the time, a couple bad throws and bad decisions here and there as threw 3 INTs though. The rushing game was working pretty well, even with starting RB Dunbar knocked out of the game.
Unfortunately, the defense got gashed on the ground at the start of the game, but stepped up in the 2nd half.

Yes it was. My jaw dropped when my receiver made that catch. I saw my QB start to make that threw, and I went :fp: seeing no way that was ever going to be a completion, and probably just screwed us out of a possible touchdown. Then the receiver caught that and I was stunned. :D That is easily the best play I have ever been involved in, both with full player control in my offline dynasty and coach mode control in this OD.

Yep, it always seems to happen every time I make a big play. As soon as I break a play for more than 10-15 yards, I immediately start looking for that "flag" to pop up on the scoreline.

Yeah, I think I've been going about things all wrong with FIU. While they have a pretty good running back, screw the running game, time to put that Spread offense to use and light it up through the air. I just played Troy (the second game of the day against them) in my offline dynasty, and won 43-35 by passing heavy and often. Same thing as my OD against Troy, didn't really try hard to establish the run game until middle of the 3rd quarter. I think it's time to open up the skies from now on in games and leave the running game on the bus until the 2nd half.

Yeah good call Smooth, pass early to setup the run later.

Smoked Ball St but with my starting HB Drake out I went with my backup Fields and he also got injured and is out for the season. So now I'm down to my 3rd HB Winchester who ended up having a very nice day behind a good long run late that I posted a video of on the OD.
I also posted a video of a cool strip and scoop that my boys pulled off.
