Cowboys once again benefit from a FCS opponent defeating Texas State 37-10. However, our play calling is really skewed towards the run lately because of the two big wins. Hopefully that won't affect our passing game much next week against Bowling Green. Offensive "ride time" 7.2 sec.
Speaking of which Rckt, we should probably schedule our game for next week soon. I should be good for anytime between 1 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. PST on Sunday or after the deadline for this week passes on Saturday night. Monday is open completely. Let me know through AIM or through the board as well.

The Running Rebels trek to the PAC NW to face the Washington State Cougars. Normally deft at Cougar hunting, OC Gerry Tarkanian was left biting his towel after a heart breaking 17-14 loss.
Sophomore QB Caleb Herring struggled mightly playing in front of the big crowd. He threw 6 interceptions, including one from his own 24 yard line as UNLV eschewed the FG chance and wanted the TD for the win, with 45 seconds to play. An earlier INT was a TAINT, giving the Coogs a 14-7 lead. Herring's fear of being watched is an early red flag for the OC. "Crap - if that makes him nervous, then he's not cut out to be a football player, casino dealer, or porn star. And those are the only three majors at UNLV!"
Next week the Rebs return to Sin City to host the high scoring Hawaii Warriors, in our home opener. Hopefully the offensive line will show more restraint, though. Those boys were flagged for 6 holding penalties, and UNLV got the yellow hanky 11 times. 4 of those erased running plays totaling 78 yards. The O-Line gave up 5 pressures and 6 sacks. If it weren't for the other holding calls, Herring might still be embedded in the turf.
This was a really winnable game. WSC couldn't move the ball. UNLV had its chances, but the good runs were called back, and after the first interception, herring never regained his composure.

Beat Ark St in a thriller. Down 3 with 45 sec to go. Threw a 50+ yard TD pass. Def ended up holding for once.

The Green Wave D stops a Tulsa comeback with 3 goal line stands to seal victory, Tulsa run def shockingly good at only allowing 37 yards on 31 carries. Season looks bright with the toughest conference game out of the way.
Tulane win! 20-14

After the opening bye week, NMST took advantage of the extra time on the practice field. New OC Coach Gus had his AIR RAID drilled daily. The defense also stepped up and did there job against Minnesota. What should have been an easy with for MINN turned into a GREAT day for the New Mexico St AGGIES!
1-0 BABY! Feel like I stole one
NMST 42
MINN 32
Thanks for advancing Roady. As always you have the power should I go "AWOL" my life is CRAZY busy right now with my new job so you will likely be signing in for me frequently.

YW bro. Glad I could help. Your other post said "work dinner" and that usually spells disaster. Either you end up at a strip club with the client or you're stuck making small talk with people you hate, but don't want to leave because you promised the Mrs. Frosty a night out.
Speaking of which, has the Mrs./Dr. found a spot to land yet??

Defensive coordinator Wyatt's home debut did not go as planned. The Rice secondary made Robert Marve look like Peyton Manning as he carved up the Rice DBs. The Front 7 did well forcing 9 or 10 sacks but it simply wasn't enough as Purdue made big play after big play and the Rice offense was anemic as the Owls fall to 0-2 falling 17-41.

I think Amish is the only one left to play. If that gets played and the result gets posted, we can bump this ahead early.

That is my recollection as well. Thanks to the powers that be here at TGT (CDJ) I can finally access the OD on the web and now get e-mails. With the free addition of advance on the web that should decrease your burden Roady. Of course, you are always free to advance when everyone is ready to advance.

I would only jump in if you say you'll be away and offline, or if the time limit has come and gone and everyone is ready. I'm just playing the Joe Biden role. Without calling concerned Americans terrorists, or charging the US Gov't $13,000 per month to keep my non-essential ass alive. :fp:

Well fill free to step your roll up son or I'll have to find someone new to be at the end of the ticket. Ya heard?
