Fumbled pitch on option not being ruled a fumble

I've had this happen at least 6 times. The cpu pitches the ball and it hits my player or misses the back and the play is instantly whistled dead like it was an incomplete pass. I've watched it in replay and the ball is not being pitched forward, so it should be a fumble.
EA needs to fix YET ANOTHER problem with this game.

if it's parallel to the LOS, it's ruled a pass. If the pitch starts as being parallel to the LOS and gets tipped backwards, it's still incomplete. That's not a problem in the game, that is how it's supposed to be, it's just kind of awkward.

It happens considerably more often in the game than it should, but by the letter of the law, it's correct.
