Running a simulation with no-name rosters.

I'm running an OD with no-name rosters for a few years to see if the bug persists. I would suggest someone running it with randomly generated names too if they have time. I will keep this updated. I have read a lot of threads on the EA website and a few on Operation Sports and it seemed like people weren't having the OD bug with no-named rosters, and someone said they haven't gotten it with random names, they also said they didn't have the tendancy bug, but I don't know if they were online or offline.

I honestly just want to do a coach OD with some people online and really don't care about named rosters.

Suggestions if this works and there still is no word on a patch:
Do a dynasty with no names
Do a dynasty with randomly named
Sim through a dynasty 4 years to get rosters populated with named recruits and then play.

Arch, I would throw in the variable of having several users in the dynasty. It might be something triggered by numerous file uploads, not because of rosters.

Just commenting that with a software issue like this, there are lots of variables to isolate and work through.

Yeah, I know. Figured since nothing was going on, and we sure aren't moving anywhere, I'd try to eliminate some variables. I will be looking for my type of simulation with multiple users on the net. Just using some heuristics to try to find something out. Most people were having problems with editing rosters. Take that out and see what happens.

My OD (MAC to Big 10) is in Week 13 with named rosters and no issues as of yet. FWIW.

Yeah, that's why we need to be sure not to rush to judgment regarding this OD and starting over without named rosters or something. There are still a bunch of dynasties advancing without issue, so it may very well not be rosters, but some other issue.

Hey Steeler, have you guys had anybody leave the dynasty, or pick up new people, or anything like that? Plus, I'd like to see what happens when you guys get to week 15+ Alot of people were having a prob at that point too.

Finished an entire year without it freezing. I did get a bug where I got no points after calling a guy for 60 minutes though. To add to what you had said before Austin... about multiple users. Is there an explanation to how the data moves along? I.e. Does it move onto the server where the commish picks it up and then he puts the OD back onto the server "finalized'? Hard to explain while I'm buzzed, but if it were something like that, I would think multiple people in a dynasty wouldn't be an issue. Because the commish is just putting the OD stats/etc. up there like I was just doing by myself on my simulation.

I guess this bring up the many possible variables. It seems to me, if some people are able to keep going through OD and others can't, th\en one of these issues could solve it until there is a patch.

It doesn't explain the tendancy issue, but it could explain why jmiles still shows as not ready when he is actually ready.

I also went online with our dynasty and changed a recruit and a few non important things to see if that changes the file in any way and maybe help us move on? Has anyone talked to jmiles?

Went and answer my own noob questions. Searched for dynasties on the xbox and there were a shit ton in 3rd or 4th some in 9+ seasons. At least one of them had to have named rosters. Ugh.... I hope too much.

No one had joined or left my OD since it started. We have 4 users. Tonight we got to the Bowl season and, still, no problems.

Coach K has the right idea then maybe. If no one left or was added, we might not get the bug.

Well that just isn't an option and EA better get it figured out. People are going to come and go in ODs. Figure it out EA and patch it.
