If you have a relatively reliable connection but starting this year you've noticed more disconnects than normal, here's a tip...

Pause the game before you select your opening kickoff play.

Simple as that. It fixed a lot of woes last year and since it at least appears to be happening to more people this year so it's certainly worth a try for those of you experiencing problems.

I just finished a game with Oneback where our first attempt was disconnected fairly early so on the second attempt, I paused the game prior to the opening kickoff (after the coin toss) and we were able to finish the game without any problems.

Would this work for online cpu games as well ya think? My brother has restarted at least 10 cpu games ( a couple 2 and 3 times for 1 game) because of freezing issues in the 2nd half. I've had 2 restarts cpu.

I imagine that's a different issue but it never hurts to try.

Well I can confirm that pausing before the kickoff DOES NOT fix the issue. I've tried to play twice today and have been disconntected both times in the first quarter.

I just tried to play with xhitstick 3 times and got disconnected..one time I paused in the 1st qtr for other reasons and I wonder if thats what did it . But the other 2 times, it just happened during game

in my online dynasty we had to both NOT use custom playbooks in order to stay connected and get past the kickoff...its sucked not being able to use our custom books against each other but we tried adjusting all the other solutions we could think of....no uniform changes, no depth chart changes, boot out of dynasty and re-invite, pause button after copin flip, etc etc

only when we both ditched our playbooks could we play

my playbook was GT + a few plays missing out of formations....no dropped formations and none added
