Even though it leaves a lot to be desired, I am enjoying UEFA Euro 2012. I just wish they had included the qualifying stage as it would have really enhanced the overall experience.

Speaking of Euro 12... I decided to take a very average team (Israel) and play the round robin. I am in group A with Russia, Poland, and Greece. In our first game I was just lit up 5-0 by Russia. Ouch! I was outshot 19-6 but interestingly enough time of possession was 52-48 for Russia. In game two I had a 0-0 draw with Greece. Greece dominated the time of possession but I had the better chances. I am playing on PRO with NO SLIDER CHANGES. As to why the slider format was changed for this game makes no sense. I'm not sure if it's just perception but EURO seems a little harder than FIFA.

I'm starting to see more bookings as I up the difficulty of my sliders. I've had a couple matches (of my 26 this season) in which the CPU has had a player sent off after a second yellow. In my last match, there were 4 yellows (2 per team) and I've had 13, in all, against my club this season.

While it's well short of what I'm hoping for in 13, it's definitely better with the increase in difficulty (and possibly since the last patch).

Just fwiw.

I'm starting up a MLS league if anyone is interested. Teams will be randomly assigned to all participants. The league will consist of 22 matches (two vs 5 other teams, and one vs the other 12), played over five to six weeks. Below are some league rules that we will follow.

All games will be played as an online friendly with 10 minute halfs, semi-assisted controls, normal game speed and online squads. Other things that are not allowed include:

- 100% aggression tactics (constant defensive pressure entire match)
- custom formations and set pieces
- unsportsmanlike conduct (running up the score late and uncalled for slide tackles)

If you're interested, post your PSN and I'll send more information when I find out how many spots will be open.

I just finished my 7th season in Manager Mode. I played at Valencia and had my worst season to date. I went 17-9-12 in Liga BBVA, to finish 6th, which was just good enough to grab a Europa League spot for next season.

Barcelona won the league, by one point, over Real Madrid. Sevilla and Villarreal earned the other 2 Champions League spots, and 5th place (and a Europa spot) went to Atletico Madrid.

Manchester United beat Manchester City, 2-1, in the Champions League Final; Ajax beat Tottenham, 1-0, in the Europa League Final; Chelsea won the European Super Cup over Tottenham, 1-0; and Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey over Barcelona, 3-0.

My record was 25-12-17 across all competitions as I lost to Manchester City in the Round of 16 in the Champions League and I lost in the Quarter Finals of the Copa del Rey to Villarreal.

I have played a total of 350 matches in Manager Mode (488 across all modes, lol) and my career record is 213-67-70 with one league title, 3 domestic cup wins, and one continental cup win.

I'm not planning on staying at Valencia. I'd like to go back to England. That said, my top club choices would be Chelsea or the French side, Marseille. I'd also consider a move to Brazil.

Unfortunately, my only good offer (other than staying at Valencia) was to go to Manchester United. So, I'm going to manage my old rivals, the Red Devils, and try to knock City off the top spot in the league. City won the EPL title last season with a 31-6-1 mark.

Prior to taking the job at Valencia, I spent 3 years at City building them into the power they are now.

I'll post my lineup when I hop on to play again. I simmed my Friendlys and I've made a half dozen, or so, transfers.

Here are some stats from my season at Valencia, with real EPL averages in parenthesis:

Goals: 2.85 (2.71)
Shots: 23.13 (28.47)
SOT: 9.52 (9.13)
SOT%: 41.15 (32.06)
Goal%: 29.38 (29.73)

These numbers covered 54 matches. The shots were low, and the SOT% was high, but not bad, overall.

I'm starting my 8th season, lol.

A year at Houston, then Braga, then Schalke, then 3 at Man City, then one at Valencia, now Man U. I play this game too much. :D

The game gets a lot more fun and compelling once you get to the European leagues. After two seasons with Vancouver I am now in Belgium and it's been a blast.

I left Chicago for a Polish team. Just getting started with friendlies right now, but have signed a couple of nice transfers with speed.

Just for the tournaments alone, playing in Europe is so much better. Plus I lost a few players in MLS who were homesick. I don't see that happening in Belgium.

I'm winding down my 8th season on FIFA 12. It will be my last before FIFA 13 drops and I have played 402 matches in Career Mode. I have just 3 matches remaining: vs Wigan, vs Villa (FA Cup Final), and at Chelsea.

I'm out of the Premier League title race, in 4th place. I trail Tottenham by 9 points, Chelsea by 5, and City by 4. I have secured a Champions League spot though, as I lead 5th place Villa by 7.

I just finished up my 8th, and final season, on FIFA 12.

I finished 4th in the Barclays Premier League with a 20-11-7 mark in league play. Chelsea won the league, on the final day, on goal differential over Tottenham. City finished 3rd, just one point behind the Blues and Spurs. Arsenal finished 5th, earning a Europa League berth.

I was 31-14-10 across all competitions, winning the Super Cup with a 1-0 win over Dutch side, Ajax. I also managed to defeat Aston Villa, 1-1 (3-2), on penalties, to win the FA Cup.

Tottenham defeated Newcastle United, 2-0, to win the Carling Cup; Benfica beat Udinese in the Europa League final, 1-0; Real Madrid won the Champions League, defeating Marseille in the final, 2-1.

In 8 seasons, I managed 6 clubs and, in 405 matches, I posted a 244-81-80 record. I won one league title, 4 domestic cups, and 1 continental cup. I never won the Premier League, or the Champions League, so there is still plenty to aim for in 13.

I'm not real sure what I'll do for the next 3 weeks until 13 ships. I'll probably just continue my career, simming the results.

Fwiw, at season's end I bolted for Newcastle United. They have a huge transfer budget ($150 M) and low expectations (qualify for the Europa League). They also have a decent roster, with nine 80+ rated players.

With 2.5 weeks to go until 13 is released, I now have played a grand total of 557 matches on FIFA 12.

Think I got my $40 worth from this title? :D
