Since getting the game, my cousins and I have been working on just naming the players and coaches with no edits. (We play a lot online and aren't interested in all the work to update rosters when they cant be used online.)

Right now, we have these done that are crossedout.

So far we have been able to match up 99% of the players. We aren't making any edits to players, just names. But we are making edits to coaches (look, alma mater).

The only problem we have is that on a coulpe of teams EA has the same guy twice. It's happened where a player started or played last year at one position like RB and then shifted heading into this year to another position like DE. We had to name one of them to a different player to avoid two of the same name on the roster.

Yeah, as soon as we're done we want to spread the word around so people can use these to play online and maybe some will play Dynasty with it until the other guys finished doing edited rosters.

THEY DONT HAVE TO FRIEND YOU!

All they need to do is type in ur PSN after clicking "download now" on the friends list page. Its deceiving because it doesnt tell you its about to let you type in a username, but just go to the friends list like you normally would, click the option at the top of the list, something like "download now" and you can type in ur username.

I just Did South Carolina and Marshall and created a few players for SC and upped some stats on the mlb for marshall Jermaine Holmes (personal friend) .. then to experiment looked over all the teams on the game 1 by 1 taking time to read the name for a second or two .. took me 1 hour ? They said they were almost done like 2 or 3 hours ago I believe?

This file has edited coaches (Fickell at Ohio State) and named players, but no edits to them. There are other guys who will do the editing - we don't have the time for that.

We did run into two players on Sc and ND where they had the same player at two positions. Example being a guy who switched midyear last year from DE to RB. We named him correctly at his current position. At the other spot we found a relatively close match at teh current positions to avoid two players with same name. Otherwise, we didnt see any major issues.

Those with a PS3 and a copy of NCAA Football 12 will now be able to download a fully named roster file! In order to snag the rosters go to Team Management – Roster Share – Download Roster – Download Roster and then search the name GamingTailgate.

Credit for the roster naming goes to BigWY over at The Gaming Tailgate. Make sure to save the file and manually load it up to see the changes take effect and to start a new franchise.

No changes were made to the file besides assigning names so any inaccuracies found in the base roster regarding the inclusion of players, appearance, and equipment remain. That does mean however that the named roster will work for online play.

Georgia and Iowa both have bad rosters as quite a few of those guys aren't on the team anymore. Either way I'm just very happy to be able to play with names and not numbers. I'm sure over the next two weeks the rosters will get more accurate and I'll fire up my dynasty then.

He more than likely knows they were gone. His were just default rosters named so you could play online with them, no changes.

The ones with changes will be released sometime tonight.
