So I figure 6-6 but one of those wins against and FCS team so I doubt I make a bowl unless I can pull one out on the road against either N Ill, Toledo or Mia OH.

I definitely don't think I have the defensive strength to contain Air Force, Rutgers, or Northwestern and I don't think I have the offensive firepower to stay with Vanderbilt because of their defense.

Besides that, it'll be interesting to see what I can do against teams that are only slightly better than me. Playing the game, it would mean a win 95% of the time, but just coaching against it, I have to think that it should still mean a win. I'm definitely interested to see how much of an equalizer Coach Mode will be for those games. I REALLY hope that I struggle to win more than 6 games (losing two of games between Navy, San Diego State, and Northern Illinois). That would make this REALLY fun then instead of only a slight challenge beyond the first season besides User vs User games.

Then, of course, there's the User vs User game against Tulane. Can never know for sure how that game is going to go.

Overall, I'm REALLY excited about this dynasty and my team. If the computer is at least competent at running the option (which, from what I've seen, they are, but lack solid playcalling to be truly effective as a CPU controlled team) then I can't see anything less than 6-6 as a team this season.

I'll give my predictions with confidence, whether good or bad, for each game. A >> means I'm thinking a win but not so confident, basically a close one score difference win whereas a >>>>>> means I'm really confident I'll win. Only a check mark means I think I'll definitely win. And a < means I'm thinking I'll lose a close game where a <<<<<< means I'm fairly certain I'm losing and possibly by a large margin.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the turnover battle really affects the games I should win and screws up my predictions. Throw a couple INT's and the opponent capitalizes on them and it's going to be hard to come back from that when your only able to coach, which should make this my favorite OD!

So i would say I could reasonably go 4-8 or 5-7 with an upset. I do not see the Lobos going bowling this year.

Boy I don't know JB, your schedule is pretty tough and if you can have the ball last you'll probably do fine but you are certainly going to have to outscore the other team because that defense will be tough. I think you could win anywhere from 7 games all the way down to 2 games. But being in the only BCS conference of all of us will make for some tough games for sure.

Yeah my FCS game should be a cakewalk, UNLV too...SDSU is a wild card and so is Washington, but I view them as the only winable conference games. I don't see myself getting more than 4 wins. I can't wait to start though...I will keep an eye on FAIRDALE KINGS' roster file and let you guys know when it is live.

I've never been that good as a user, but I love the Dynasty aspects, especially recruiting. I also love the social aspect. I can only play offline so long before I get bored of the game. But back in 04 when I first found this series, I was in Iraq. When I wasn't busting down doors and fighting Al Sadr's men, I was playing the shit out of it with a buddy. The new carousel and coaching mode has gotten my ears pinned back for some fun! I LOVE fighting over top recruits!

Man anything can happen, this is coach mode, it's all about playcalling and schemes and hoping your player perform as well as they can. Thank goodness it's not about who has the fastest thumbs because I'd never win a game :)

I don't even watch college football IRL but I love NCAA Football for the recruiting in OD's. The team management competition stuff. Say if your in for any other dynasties this year you sound like you would be a good match for this (http://www.thegamingtailgate.com/forums/showthread.php?2584-Cipher-8-s-Online-Dynasty-%28Xbox-360%29)... It's hard to find like-minded similarly skilled players so excuse me if I'm coming off a little brash but I'm just trying to find the right people and it's not easy. Everybody here is more skilled and competitive focused, most of them would crush me and don't really care for the finer details such as recruiting and the challenge of building a team. I'm really not that good but not horrible either and I like to focus on recruiting and don't really do a whole lot of user vs user matches but at the same time I don't just go undefeated against the computer, where most do. IF your interested let me know. We'll likely just run with a couple people and advance it whenever everybody readied up but since it's lesser people it should go by quicker with less management if it had been 12 teams.

:D Yeah, that might be the most optimistic win between Arkansas State and FIU. Arkansas State, I think is the team to beat in the Sun Belt, as much as it pains me to say that it's not FIU that is. :D Though a surprise here and an upset there, and FIU might just find itself at the top of the conference at season's end. We definitely have the players to have a chance at it.

I'm sure I'll fuck it up but when you got a 86 OVR QB you should be finishing in the top 3 of the conference at least. As long as I don't dip below 6-6 I'll be fine. I want 7 or 8 wins though and a nice bowl game.

Utah State 2011 Football Schedule

The quick and dirty? Lots of "swing" games, naturally. I'm going to say 5-7, +/- a couple of games. I can't imagine going better than 8-4. I can't imagine going worse than 4-8? Read on?

08/03/11 Ladies Clinic Sponsored by America First Credit Union Logan, Utah 7:00 p.m. MT - A very difficult home opener, but we're busy preparing right now. Personally, as a head coach, it's always rewarding to be able to show the ladies around the ol' football. Prediction? Duh, winning.
08/27/11 Aggie Football Family Fun Day Sponsored by Macey's Logan, Utah 12:00 p.m. MT - This one's less interesting to me, personally. I'll let the assistant coaches handle this one.

09/03/11 at Auburn Auburn, Ala. 11:00 a.m. CT - The schedule gets real, real fast. Unveil the banner, break out the championship rings, wait... this ain't the NBA, is it? But, I'm sure the War Eagle faithful will have something fun planned. Maybe they'll have purchased a new JC QB by then? Whatever the case, our goal? Lose by five TDs or less and come away from the game healthy (but don't tell the kids I said that). Prediction? Loss.

09/10/11 vs. Weber State Logan, Utah 6:00 p.m. MT - A little something for the fans at the home opener. Hopefully at this point we've fallen on our faces enough @ Auburn to know what works and doesn't. Prediction? Win.

09/24/11 vs. Colorado State (HOMECOMING) Logan, Utah 6:00 p.m. MT - This is an early swing game against one of those hated MWC schools. Colorado State is more talented, but we're at home and it's homecoming. If we've figured some stuff out at this point, we should be able to pull the mild upset. Prediction? Win?

09/30/11 at BYU TV Provo, Utah 6:00 p.m. MT - They don't get much better than this in... uhhh... where am I coaching again? Oh yeah. Logan, Utah? Wait. This is in Provo? Ah crud! No "Yutes" on the schedule this year, so heading into Provo is probably my biggest game on the schedule and probably my second toughest game on the schedule after Auburn. Can we shock the Fighting Brighams? Prediction? Loss!

10/08/11 vs. Wyoming Logan, Utah 6:00 p.m. MT - Only game outside of conference (against a MWC team, no less) where I should be the more talented team on the field (excepting Weber State, naturally). And, we're at home. Sitting at 2-2 and unbeaten at home, we start looking ahead to the conference schedule and slip up here. Prediction? Loss. Sigh.

10/15/11 at Fresno State * Fresno, Calif. 8:00 p.m. MT - Toughest conference game right out of the gates. That's no fun. Stay healthy, boys. We wanna' make a run at a bowl, not the WAC title. I mean... I mean... heck yeah we can beat those Bulldogs on the road! Prediction? Loss.

10/22/11 vs. Louisiana Tech * Logan, Utah 1:00 p.m. MT - This one will be tough. LA Tech has some talent. We're at home. Can't go 0-2 in conference. Prediction? Win.

11/05/11 at Hawai'i * Honolulu, Hawaii 10:00 p.m. MT - Never easy heading to The Islands. Probably the best home field advantage in the WAC. Prediction? Loss.

11/12/11 vs. San Jose State * Logan, Utah 1:00 p.m. MT - God bless the soul who attempts to take over the struggling Spartans. We should be able to roll our helmets out there and take care of business in this one. Prediction? Win.

11/19/11 at Idaho * Moscow, Idaho 3:00 p.m. MT - Oh boy. The Kibbie Dome. This one could go either way. Better err on the side of safety. Prediction? Loss. JB, we're heading across the border to Pullman after the game. Have a pitcher of White Russians waiting for me, eh? I'm gonna' need 'em. :)

11/26/11 vs. Nevada Logan, Utah 12:00 p.m. MT - *Not* a conference game this year, right EA? No matter. An embarrassing loss at home on Senior Day, regardless. Prediction? Loss. :smh:

12/03/11 at New Mexico State * Las Cruces, N.M. 6:00 p.m. MT - Our bowl hopes extinguished down the stretch and rumors beginning to build over whether or not Coach will be back next year, we snag a W to close out the season on the road. Prediction? Win.

I'm not as confident on my previous picks as before. It's gonna be EXTREMELY tough to beat some of the teams on my schedule that normally would be a shoe-in win with controlling both sides of the ball. Coach Mode is definitely a whole other monster.

That's what is so fun about it, no longer can your stick skills win you games; your coaching, preparation, play calling, game planning, talent, putting that talent to good use and most of all a little luck is needed to win games in coach mode. Stick skills be damned. I love it.

Oh, I'm most definitely gonna be fine tuning the hell out of my roster once we get to week 1 and I get a chance to really delve into it (been busy as hell lately helpin' my dad with a giant house remodeling job). I have no problem with not being able to use stick skills. It's actually what REALLY got me interested in this dynasty and coach mode in general. My stick skills aren't great, but they're ok, but my internet is shitty when it comes to lag so not having to worry about stick skills makes it that much better cause I can play online without having to worry about shitty internet connections.

With that win over Michigan, Coach K could possible go undefeated. Even with sliders the other non-conference games aren't out of the realm of possibility.
