Yeah, .jpgs create artifacts even at the highest of qualities. PNGs look true to the original pic you saved, keeps colors correct, and is smaller file size wise

It was pretty good.

Doesn't look like you color corrected, there is some discoloration on the helmet. I would've erased the mask picture on the left a little more at the bottom to blend it. I would've also flipped the background mask since he seems to be going the opposite way of how it is now (I think of the background as motion streaks so I put them the way I think the player is going).

Other than that I thought it was well done

It's a tedious task (although I actually like it) but it really separates your covers from the amateur and the 'pro-looking' ones. It's such a small element but it makes your effect look better and your cover look more official. Especially because HDR plug ins usually boost color saturation it is important to correct these color mistakes. Plus you make the picture more color accurate than the original itself.

I can't find a full body Ryan Leaf OR Drew Bledsoe, so I went with the next best thing. Jason Gesser (Preferred Pic in the link below) is a WSU HOF player for sure (most wins in Cougar history)....AND he beat Vince Young (who is already part of the HOF Big Dmo collection line) in the 2001 Holiday Bowl:

Disk template as in custom labeling? I don't really do that nor do I know anyone that has a template. But I know you can get some very barebones basic disk templates at some gaming sites. I bet you could use an NCAA cover you found online to make the rest of the disk look real.

Well they use in house studio photoshoots now. In the past they used in game shots. I prefer in game shots myself. The canned shots look lame.

Yea, the render was pretty big and it was cut off at the waist. So I was kind of limited there, but I couldn't find any other pics of him and really wanted to do one for him. But thanks for the feedback as always.

Should be already done. The resolution is 300 however the actual size of the covers are the dimensions of the game case. I've seen countless posts about people having problems printing these however I have never had a problem. I always open my covers in Paint and print them from there. Front cover only. I guess they are doing that so it would be easier to cut and line up in the case or something. I don't see the point in doing that but it's their choice.

Tried that and couldn't seem to find the exact dimensions.

It seems like the cover is 10.75" wide by 5.875" tall. The spine is 0.5" wide and one page is 5.125" wide. I may be wrong, but that's what I could figure using a tape measure.

Actually, go to page set up and make sure it isn't improperly scaled. Sometimes it glitches in paint.
