I'll get my recruiting in tomorrow. I hate using the OD web thing to do recruiting because, every time I try, it fuckin' screws up and drops the call after one ten minute session and uses the entire time that I had allotted for the call and is just a pain in the ass in general.

GG Prime, I'm still really behind on talent level but I got a gritty QB that does enough to keep me in the games.

Not sure if anyone else got the email saying that we've advanced but that's actually an old email saying it advanced us to Week 9. The Dynasty Wire site shows that we're in Week 11 so I assume it might have something to do with the transfer failed message and possibly EA looking at our OD specifically.

Unfortunately no... EA is aware of the issue and are looking into it but right now they don't have an ETA. It's effecting quite a few ODs so I'm sure they're putting a priority on it.

Do you think it has to do with the year in the dynasty? I'm in a couple of others, they can advance but they are all still in year 1.

WOW, just went to EA Sports forums and then to NCAA 11, there are 3 pages of replies about this just from TODAY!

This is wild, main issue I have is, $60 for a game, should atleast work until the new version is released...if not longer...

Still no encouraging word from EA... they're still looking at it but they don't have an ETA.

That said, I'm going out of town next week leaving Tuesday afternoon and returning Saturday. Surely we'll be able to advance before I leave but even if not, I can pass it to HairyDawg and he can advance while I'm out.

I've passed the OD over to HairyDawg... I want to have him try to advance it. I assume he's at work right now though. Dawg, once you are able to, try to advance to Week 12 and report back.

If that doesn't work, EA has a theory that they want me to test but to do so, as part of that theory I'll have to re-create the OD from a save file which means that Week 11 would have to be replayed. Unfortunately it's a necessary evil at this point just so that we can figure the issue out.

I recreated the SBCOL OD save file as a new OD calling it aSBCOL (some of you may have inadvertently received invites so ignore them). I was then able to advance aSBCOL to Week 12 successfully. It sounds like this is the temporary resolution. I'll be deleting aSBCOL and will recreate SBCOL again but before I do so, I want to wait a bit to hear back from EA in case they want me to test anything additional.

Obviously the one catch in all of this is that it means that everyone will have to replay their Week 11 games.

Looks like waiting for EA is no longer an option. EA asked me to recreate our OD to test a few scenarios but in doing so, that apparently corrupted our original SBCOL OD.

I'll be re-creating the OD this afternoon and naming it newSBCOL. I'll send out invites to everyone once it's ready. This will require that we redo Week 11... I'll leave it up to the winner(s) of the UvU games as to whether to replay them or just simply sim-to-win. As well, since I'm going out of town this week, I'll pass it over to HairyDawg so that he can advance while I'm out.

The new name is actually aaSBCOL. I believe I sent everyone an invite but if you didn't get one, you should be able to join by searching for it.

My buddy and I are having the same issue.

I saved the old OD on my PS3, then tried to created a new one from the old file. When it loads up it asks me to rename it. I did to a completely different name. It started loading and gets to "finalizing OD" then it tells us again, EA servers are not responding, please try again later. We tried it about 20 times last night.

I've also heard you have to create a/seperate EA name, PSN name....is that true? If so do you have to pay for a new PSN name?

Is this fix/work around you did possible without changing your EA name and without changing your PSN name?

If you could please explain, as simple as you can exactly how you did go about making it work?

Before I describe this, I want to make sure to preface it to everyone that you should never do this unless it's an absolute necessity simply because as happened in our old SBCOL OD, it corrupts the original OD.

That said, the steps you took are what I did... just goto Settings > File Management, Load & Delete, then select the save file for your OD. When it asks for a new name, give it one that starts with a lower case 'a'... that's a working theory as to a work-around for now. I tried creating the newSBCOL earlier and it gave me the same error you did... however I just turned right around and did it again naming it aaSBCOL and it worked.

My fear though is that even after we complete Week 11, we may still face the possibility of not being able to advance to Week 12. Only one way to find out at this point.

Correct, you don't have to be the commissioner, however, as soon as you create the copy, it runs the risk of corrupting the original.
