We need a thought out squad lol that plays TOGETHER. 1 Medic, 1 Assault, and 2 w/e the situation dictates. I'm thinking of going Sniper and carrying a mobile spawn with the group, that way we can all use it to spawn on near us. I would be the door kicker with a shotgun or w/e with an Assault guy behind me...take out whoever then have the medic with a pack and defib to revive. If we worked together we would be unstoppable.

Matt and I ran into this last night. I think 2 of the matches we played a team that basically 6 of them would rush all as a group and all defended as a group. They smoked us pretty quick. Of course our team was full of snipers, one guy went like 20-2 and 18-3, then we got to a map he couldn't snipe and he quick the match :smh:

Wow, pretty impressed with the rent a server thing. If you were to host cash tournaments this would be awesome. It has a built in feature in the Multiplayer menu now you select Matches and it has all the matches you have scheduled. You schedule all the matches on Battlelog if you're running the tourney. Also you can set the room to private and just play together...I could see an all TGT brawl haha.

That's something that REAL FPSs have done for ages man. America's Army did it for the longest time. Hell, I was part of a clan that had their own server and hosted things like that and it was fun as hell. Unfortunately, FPSs now are too much like Modern Warfare to be able to really do anything like that.

BF3 to me is nothing like MW. MW is like NBA Jam to me where BF3 is NBA Live.

Edit: And I know other FPS's have done it. I'm just saying I like they way they're doing it and they way the implemented it to the PS3. I remember the good ole days of playing on HUGE Delta Force maps. That was my first FPS and my fav....being 3 miles away from the action doing recon was awesome.

Anyways we could pick teams and run tournaments with different classes and weapons use. In the Vid, LevelCap and Rivals (the other team on this video) are using Non Automatic hand guns only. You can do this and just use a certain weapon, not use grenades or you get the point.

Steelerfan, Darius and myself played for a bit last night and I noticed that the USAS was not as deadly from a distance though at close range it still had killing power (as it should up close). I was just happy I was able to out shoot a guy with my M16A4 and get the kill against that gun. Before I stood no chance.

I also noticed on Karg Island that the Javelin works much better not needing so many hits to destroy and kill the vehicles. On a perfect hit I saw an amTrac blow up with one hit (though I don't know what kind of damage it had before that shot).

Yeah I'd probably just do the daily thing for $1.49 as well.

I really can see myself doing this soon to learn to fly some jets and Heli's. That is one area I need to work on big time. I also like we talked about like to walk through the maps to look at certain points and areas. Maybe find a spot where sniping would be really fun. Try to cut off a side of the map so to speak.

I'm willing to buy the server for a weekend if you guys would play on it. I've noticed A LOT of new stuff in this update and i's just awesome. Now when you spawn it has a symbol next to the vehicles to let you know what they are. When I first started I wasn't sure of what all the vehicles were. Now I see a picture of a jet or heli.

I noticed people using the USAS 12 were now using 12g Buckshot instead of the Frags. The FAMAS is all over the place when you try to shoot now which kinda makes me sad. Luckily I started moving to the M16A4. You can post messages on your server when people load... So when anyone played on ours it'd be The Gaming Tailgate server and a pop message could be "Fun provided by TheGamingTailgate.com". Also think we can upload an Image so we could use our logo.

I could really use this to just say get me, Snoop, Steeler, and JB on a conquest map with planes and have dog fights to train flying. I really need to get better at Heli's so Snoop or whoever could be on the other team locking on to me and then I could see what I gotta do to get away haha.

This just has me even more pumped for BF3 now...can't wait for new maps now.

I was tearing people to shreds with the Sub plane or whatever it's called. I didn't really have to break, I could make sharp turns and get right on someones ass. Maybe I'm just getting better???

I shot down 4 jets (a record) destroyed 5 tanks and got one heli in one round. I also got a head shot on a guy running with my cannon that was a crazy moment.

Servers are good. Quite a bit of people are purchasing servers from what I've seen. And thankfully DICE toned down the shotguns with frag rounds along with the FAMAS.

I haven't really messed around with the extra tickets per map, but playing that 500, yes 500 ticket rush and defending Operation Metro on the 3rd leg was freaking awesome last night. I have no idea Darius how we were able to do that. The map took 56 minutes to complete.

I was 36-23 or something very close to that and I was 10th on our team. I think I spent more time running around reviving people and tossing medic packs :D

Our whole team ended up on the plus side for K/D and our best was 117-36 or something close. Crazy crazy round.

Battlefield 3 'FAMAS bug' stops stats dead in their tracks

Sure, you're lethal with a FAMAS in Battlefield 3, but you've gotta stop – at least, until EA fixes a problem associated with it. There's a glitch lurking out there, preventing Battlelog from recognizing progression and stats. It's like you never even played that last match.

According to the Battlefield 3 Facebook account, if anybody is using a FAMAS in any given match it's possible that no stats will be recognized – for any players. Best to table that firearm until this bug's number is up.

Battlefield 3's "Premium" membership got officially revealed this morning by EA (via an exclusive Reuters piece), and it confirmed many of the details we already knew about the soon-to-be-launched service. "Premium" costs $50 one time, not to mention a variety of other in-game weapons and dog tags, as well as a handful of "enhanced" Battlelog features (such as resetting stats). The piece doesn't mention getting access to the game's five announced map packs, but that seems like an odd omission considering the $50 asking price.

Additionally, the membership gives users two weeks of advanced access to the variety of unreleased DLC packs – except this perk only applies if you're a PlayStation 3 customer. Much like Call of Duty's adherence to an exclusivity window on DLC for Xbox 360, Battlefield 3 is locked to a similar tryst with Sony's PlayStation 3. This means that users who pay for the Premium service on either Xbox 360 or PC won't get that same level of early access, which is ... pretty bizarre to us.

The piece doesn't make clear when the service launches, but the perviously leaked memo and yesterday's leaked trailer indicated it would launch as soon as today. The piece also notes that Battlefield 3 has thus far moved 15 million units. Not too shabby! We expect to hear even more about Premium during EA's press conference this afternoon.

Got the new map pack, they are fun as hell. Give you that COD close quarters feel that some may miss without the arcade style game play. I've only played on two of the maps a good bit and they are exceptional....lot's of destruction. You can blow out walls to make new passages/shooting views.

Fully agree. The new game mode Gun Master was a f'n blast. Great individual concept while keeping it a team game. Love the new maps. They do get hectic like CoD, but thankfully BF3 isn't CoD. You still gotta do some planning.

You really need to work together on the new Conquest that is for sure. Without teamwork there your going to get hammered.

Battlefield 3's "Armored Kill" expansion coming this September finally gives fans of the franchise the expansion they've been waiting for, featuring vehicular mayhem like that shown in today's trailer.

Armored Kill has five new vehicles, "including mobile artillery, tanks, ATVs," along with 20 vehicle-specific unlocks and the ability to spawn in the all-new gunship. The premiere trailer above features the "Alborz Mountain" map and "Bandar Desert, the largest map in Battlefield history."

Yeah I just don't know if I'll have the time for it and might as well get the cash while I can. With NCAA being a solid play so far this year I see that getting played a lot. Plus with NHL and online dynasty that will consume a lot of my time. And I'm about 98% sure I'm getting Madden. If :sf: talks me into FIFA BF3 will never get played.

Battlefield 4 is coming, with a beta scheduled to begin next fall, but DICE assures fans that doesn't mean a premature end to support for Battlefield 3.

Following up on earlier pledges to the same effect, the developer said on the official Battlefield blog that it intends to continue with BF3 support past the beta, continuing even after BF4 is released. "We are committed to providing an excellent Battlefield 3 experience well into the future , past the releases of Aftermath, End Game, and Battlefield 4," a representative said on the blog. "DICE is continuing its work on Battlefield 3 alongside Battlefield 4."

Of course, there's no way of telling what that "work" will entail following the release of Battlefield 4. It's certainly an impressive claim nonetheless, one that we hope isn't equivalent to pre-selling us some exclusive bridge DLC.

I'm definitely happy to hear that. This is the most played shooter for me since SOCOM: Confrontation. I've never been as hooked to a First Person Shooter like I have on BF3. I was always partial to the TPS.

The Battlefield 3 "Aftermath" DLC is finally official. After getting leaked a few months ago, and being mentioned again last month, the add-on has now been described in more detail by EA. There will be four new maps that take place in "a post-earthquake Tehran," along with new vehicles, a new game mode, and new assignments, achievements and dog tags to earn.

This promo page also hints at new weapons for Battlefield 3: Aftermath. There's no indication of what the new game mode is just yet, or when the content will drop. Currently, the release date is listed as "TBA" for both premium and standard BF3 players, but given that EA's shared this information with us, the DLC probably isn't too far off.

The site's calendar also officially acknowledges and dates BF3's "End Game" DLC pack for March of 2013. Both packs are said to contain four new maps, new unspecified weapons, equally new and equally unspecified vehicles, and "more." While Battlefield Premium subscribers gain access to DLC content two weeks earlier than regular folk, we expect the December and March launch windows to apply to both categories of people, provided the Premium launches aren't near the tail end of either month.

Battlefield 3's End Game DLC, due out March 2013, will have players take out enemies while looking studly on motorcycles, as demonstrated by the above image taken from EA's Summer Showcase. End Game is slated to contain new maps, vehicles and more, and is the final of three announced DLC packs for BF3, following Armored Kill in September and Aftermath in December.

First up, fans will get their hands on Armored Kill, which features manic vehicular manslaughter in the form of ATVs, mobile artillery and most lethally of all tanks, as shown in the following gallery.

In our efforts to keep improving Battlelog, we bring you the latest little thing we´ve been working on for some time.

Now you can finally adjust your loadouts on Battlelog for all classes (Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon). Once you have picked your weapon, sidearm, gadgets and camo, you can instantly jump in to the game and start your game with the loadout you picked in Battlelog. You can find this new feature in the menu row on your profile page.

Another thing that is quite cool about the loadout is that you can easily go into your friends´ profile page, go to his/her loadout tab and copy their loadouts to make them your own.

Of course, this isn´t only restricted to just one platform but is integrated to work with PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Battlelog developer Indigownd has been one of the creative minds behind this feature and in his own words here is why loadout is a great addition to Battlelog:

If you find yourself getting owned repeatedly by an enemy, you can now go to his profile on Battlelog and check what equipment he/she uses — and copy it to your loadout with a simple click.

Coming from a competitive gaming background, I know what it means to play on unranked servers where available unlocks are decided by the server admin. So if you plan on playing on an unranked server you’ll still be able to set weapons and equipment you normally wouldn’t have access to on a ranked server.

The Loadout feature went live this morning, so feel free to start using it. Of course, if you have any feedback, let us know by using our forums.

Doubt it. Great feature though.

With the support DICE is giving BF3, I'm not gonna have any problems getting BF Premium next year.

Played the new DLC Endgame with Snoop last night and saw the douchiest thing ever. I captured the enemy flag, and I get teamkilled so the douche could grab the flag for himself.

Outside of that CTF is pretty cool, so is riding the dirtbike.
