21st ranked Maryland starts the new season off on the right start, with a 31-6 win over 19th ranked Washington.

Maryland's Senior HB Duo of Caleb Porzel and Gary Douglas were the stars of the game, each rushing for over 100 yards ad 4 combined TDs. Caleb Porzel had 23 carries for 151 yards 2 TDs, while Gary Douglas had 18 carries for 120 yards and 2 TDs. LE David Mackall had 3 sacks in the game, all 3 coming on key 3rd downs in the game. neither team turned over the ball in the game, and both teams missed a FG. Washington was 2-10 on 3rd down attempts.

Caleb Porzel is a freak. 96 speed and 99 acc. I should have been using him more the last 2 season. :D

One more thing to note, everyone has six home and six away games, three user games, and everyone's strength of schedule is at least an A-

Despite holding a 24-14 lead at the half and rushing for over 250 yards in the game Northwestern cannot overcome a sloppy second half that sees them turn the ball over three times in the third quarter as they fall to #3 Va. Tech in Blacksburg 49-27.

Arby Fields had over a 100 yards rushing for the cats, but Northwestern's defense was nowhere to be found in the second half. The cats will look to rebound next week as they play host to Vanderbilt.

More detailed game breakdown to come tomorrow after I get off work.
