Whore of the Month

Whore of the Month
No one stood out this month, so I'm tempted to just keep the trophy in the TGT Trophy Whore Downtown Athletic Club. But Kingpin pulled a decent 27 trophies, so he'll get the recognition this month.

School really gets in the way of it and when I do get some gaming time, I usually just play Gears. I have started trying to get the Killzone 2 platinum again on my regular name(by the way, you can remove my name in the #2 position so JB and CDJ can rightfully battle it out for position WAY behind V) so hopefully I'll have something to show for next month's update.

V hasn't had a trophy in several months as well, IIRC.

By the way, PSNProfiles.com came out with a nifty card that shows your trophy stats along with how many games you've played and your trophy completion percentage:

By the way, for anyone who's interested, if you go to PSNProfiles.com and actually sign up, it'll list what percentage of people have the trophies that you do, so you can see which ones you have are the "rarest." Pretty nifty.

I like the one we're currently using, because I prefer to see which games people have played most recently (and more than one, at that) over the icons for the last X trophies. That's one reason I prefer the images we use over PSN's own Profiles view.

I wont be getting many trophies for awhile for a couple reasons. I got rid of my Gamefly sub and its baseball season. My oldest is on 3 teams and the youngest is on 2. So I am literally gone everyday from 4 pm until 8ish or 9. So until August or so there will be no time for gaming..

You know, I was feeling really bad about the Completion % that is in the image you posted, then I looked at everyone else's. :D I'm actually one of the better ones besides Violator. I also noticed that the PSNProfiles card doesn't list the level percentage, which is what I'm using to rank everybody. So, yeah.

I never noticed that, but you're right. That's a strange omission.

I think my completion percentage on my name with the 2,000+ trophies is around 45%. That's a result of getting games, playing them for an hour, and then putting them on the shelf and forgetting about them.

I was looking at a similar site for 360 achievements and there's people that have over 5,000 achievements and a 100% completion percentage. I'm sure there's similar people for PS3, too, but that is just insane. Of course, you could just always message this guy and work up a deal. (http://hakoom.net/trophy-service/)

Those platinum trophies must account for a huge chunk of points. King has almost 100 more trophies than CLW does, and yet CLW is a pretty good distance ahead of him in level and %.

I was pleasantly surprised by how fun Resistance was on the Vita. I came in expecting it to be pure garbage, but I had fun the whole way through. Even though I had some issues with the Uncharted controls on the Vita, Resistance controlled just as I would have hoped. It's just too bad the campaign can be beaten in under 5 hours.

Whore of the Month
While normally 152 trophies in a month would easily earn Whore honors, I'm a little suspicious of Mr. "Nothing will get me to turn on my PS3" suddenly cranking out 100+ trophies in a month. Mostly in games that he already had the platinum in ... (cheater).

Besides, JB's been acting more like a Whore lately anyway. And I find it very convienient that he earned just enough trophies to take the #2 spot from cdj, after last month's whole "I'm a mod, I can change it" stealth edit. If it edits like a whore and talks like a whore ... it must be JBHuskers as Whore of the Month!

Those 150 were literally in about a week. If I would've kept that pace the whole month, I would've shattered all previous trophy whoring records.

+1 on JB being the ultimate whore, though. He should get the award every month regardless of his output. If you're willing to change the stats, you get Whore of the Month every month. :D

I've been meaning to get the online ones for KZ2 and KZ3 out of the way for quite awhile. I was going to go through and then beat KZ2 on Elite again, but I figured I'd save that for a rainy day.

I would have had 2 platinum trophies had it not been for the single dumbest trophy in the history of trophies: intercept a ball with reaction time. I did it on 360, will not ever try again on PS3. Stupid. Hate it.

Whore of the Month
cdj and CLW both snag platinums in the last month, with cdj earning his this week. Both will share Whore honors. CLW was also able to take fifth place from me, thanks to his platinum. JB gets an honorable mention for earning the most trophies this month.

This is pretty much directed at I OU.

Not only did I get a User Pick in an RTG game (which is essentially "Locked").
Not only did I get a User Pick using Reaction Time.
But then I also returned it to the house.

Granted, this year all I needed was the pick. But it was pretty cool that I would have gotten that stupid trophy from the last two years while I was at it. :D

EDIT: I also love that I got almost all of the Heisman Challenge trophies AND the Read & React trophy, all with the same team. :D And they're my OD team!

I've really been slackin' lately and now Jeff has retaken the #5 spot from me. I have a TON of free games too from PS+ and hell I haven't even cracked open Arkham City or LA Noire which I got LAST Christmas (I think). :fp:

My overtaking of the #5 spot has less to do with you slacking and more to do with me finally getting that NCAA plat. The plat counts for soooo much, that you'd have to kick my ass with a ton of other trophies to stay ahead.

Killzone HD may have the hardest "easy mode" that I've ever played on. I beat it on Hard to get it out of the way and figured I'd mop up the rest on easy, but it's not even easy! It's almost as hard as hard mode was. Plus, some of the trophies are just infuriating. Beat chapters 1-11(all of them) with one guy. Beat chapters 3-11 with another. 4-11 with another. Then 5-11 with yet another!

It doesn't help that I just noticed Jeff bragging about getting that damn reaction time interception trophy, one in which I'll probably never even attempt again. :bang:

I was anticipating the layoff would come at the end of the year beginning last summer so it didn't come up as a complete shock when it happened and the wife and I saved up nearly a year's worth of my salary for a emergency fund / down payment on our 1st home when/if we decided to buy so we are fine. We had been talking for years about me getting out of the practice of law (due to my unhappiness with the job/"profession") and were planning on me transitioning once she finished her fellowship and started her "big girl job" which is in a little over 2 years now so the question is do I try to find a job for two years or just transition now.

Allot of my recent trophies have been of the gold/silver variety but I too was surprised how quickly the % went up.

Yeah the story is REALLY good IMHO. Most Rockstar games I just cannot get into but this one I did perhaps b/c it relies on more on patience/detective work rather than just shooting up everything in site. Right now I'm in "clean up" phase I think I just need to roam around the city and find all the cars and film reels and maybe a few other "odd" trophies I missed during my play through.

I see you're playing Spec Ops, JB. If you're going for the platinum and playing on Fubar difficulty, I'm going to give you some advice: don't be a jackass like me and try to kill all the enemies in the hardest part of the game. You can avoid all confrontation and slip around the side. You'll know exactly what I'm talking about when you come to it. I spent 2 or 3 hours repeatedly trying to beat it, and after I finally finished the game, read you could avoid it all together. :fp:

Is it before or after Chapter 11? That's where I'm at now, playing on the 2nd hardest difficulty. I think I have to beat it to unlock FUBAR?

Yeah, you have to beat the game on "Suicide Mission"(I believe is what it's called) to unlock Fubar. Fubar is just ridiculous, but it's still manageable.

The hardest part is Chapter 7, I think. It's the part you're up top and watching a few armed guards interrogate someone. If you just go around the left side of the map and listen to your AI teammate, you have to stealth kill 1 or 2 guys, and then you're done. You can still beat it by killing everyone, but it's so much easier to just sneak around the level.

I, being the moron that I am, didn't read any achievement guides and had no idea you could sneak around until I had already beaten the game.

I actually do no whoring at all. I just play the games. Surprised I got 21 trophies last month, most of which probably came from playing Injustice. Yeah, and very time consuming ones at that, which is the main reason it took me so long. Win 100 games each in all 3 modes, plus win 50 games in prospector mode. Wouldn't be so bad if they counted wins for joining midway, but alas, you have to be there from the opening second for it to count. Plus, kill 1,000 enemies and then a bunch of really random ones, which were also a pain.

Combine that with a really hard campaign and you've got the perfect trophy list to drive someone nuts. I still can't believe some people completed it after a week. :D

Since my 2 successors have both gone by the wayside (Jeff no longer likes us and CLW is too busy bashing Xbox to do it), I'm going to take back control in August. There's one week until I post them and I have a job for you all. Go here and click on "register to get your free trophy card (http://psntrophyleaders.com/leaderboard/main). The key thing is in the registration you use your PSN that you want on the leader board so that I can just grab the URL and post the image. After you're registered and logged in, go to your profile, click on trophy cards. Change the color to black and then click update so that we can have some uniformity. Boom, done.

This is by far the best site I've found for this. They have the most stats. They have the most accurate stats. They also have an administrative staff that actually cares about the site and unlike any other site I've used, they have never gone down.

I've only actively tried to get all the trophies for one game and one game only so far. And that was Tiger Woods 11 or 12? After I never could get that one trophy for watching that video or play a online Ryder Cup I gave up on it. I sat in a room for 2+ hours and couldn't get into a match

Haven't tried to get a platinum or certain trophy since.

This just launched a few weeks ago. Has all the stats you could possibly want, guides, and even allows you to create boosting sessions should you need help with troubling online trophies. You can even create gaming sessions just to party up and play for fun. I've used their Xbox Achievements site for a very long time, so it's welcoming to have them hop on the trophy train.

I'm going to try to get the trophies updated this week. I was going to do it last month, but the site hosting the trophy images changed the URL format so I have to go through all of them and change it, which is annoying to say the least.

Whore of the Month

Oh, I guess I'll give it to the ol' Resident Lawyer for his hard earned platinum in Madden 25 (PS4). If we had post bit badges, you'd get this month's badge!

Also, going to somehow incorporate trophy completion % in future updates. I don't if it'll be a separate list or somehow combined, but I'm going to do something with it.

I went in and synced my trophies with server. I have not earned any so far in 2014, so it should be the correct number (2306).

I will probably always be at the bottom of the list, but you can include me in the rankings when you get a chance. I'm playing a lot more titles than I used to, so I'm picking up more trophies in the process. I started January at level 6 and have almost reached level 8 already.

It won't hurt my feelings if you skip me this month.
